Yeah, looks like the friend glitch is gone. Bummer. Though now I can get hours of my life back.

BTW, I may not be a regular poster, but I am a regular lurker. Thanks for all of the helpful advice and tips.

Collecting Hearts from Friends:
You DO NOT get a heart from every card you tap in a friends' town. They are "random." This is how collecting Halloween treats from friends worked. You can get anywhere from 0-3 hearts from visiting your friends. You MAY GET hearts from every building/card that your friend taps in YOUR TOWN.

Here are the buildings that have "Be Mine" cards on them when you visit your friends (at least in "Other Springfield", there may be more)

However, I only got part 1 of the quest (3 cards). I have Lisa (and all others) free but no part 2 triggers. Much less of a deal then not being able to get hearts from friends, but does suggests more than one glitch.

In the few friend towns I've been able to access ... It seems random whether there is a valentine card on a house or building. Some towns, they are plentiful. Others nowhere to be found

i thought so as well, so i looked for building with a 'be mine' on it with the active animation going...no heart. its completely random.

i know this update JUST happened last night but im sure there are many people out there who have this amount of money built up. if you click on the information button these state "requires: mypad." does this mean you have to be playing on an iPad to get them? theyre showing as available to purchase on my screen but i dont have this kind of money...yet. has anyone tried to build these yet while NOT on an iPad?

No, the mypad is Homer's device. You don't need an iPad.

The payouts *are* impressive; how long must we wait for each, 7 days? I cannot afford both at the moment, but they are not going away any time soon, so I'll take the time to find a good spot for them.

I partially hate the update for this reason: all of my "test" accounts have been ruined. Initially, using the "Simpsons_xxx" screen name is great for getting random friends. It's not so great when you wake up and each account has 200+ friend requests that jam the invite screen and can't be accessed. D'oh! I can't even get into Origin Client and try to change the screen names.

Collecting Hearts from Friends:
You DO NOT get a heart from every card you tap in a friends' town. They are "random." This is how collecting Halloween treats from friends worked, and different than XMAS Coins. You can get anywhere from 0-3 hearts from visiting your friends. I do not know how the odds for tapping characters works yet.

Receiving Hearts from Friends' Taps
You GET hearts from every building/card that your friend taps in YOUR TOWN. If multiple friends tap the same building, you get MULTIPLE hearts from that building. It also appears that friends can tap your completed characters, and you can collect hearts that way.


All these hearts came from the School.

Okay, I haven't been able to tap on friends' unfinished characters...not sure how my finished walking characters had valentine's on them that gave hearts.

I think these figures are only for the XP that is gained when the buildings complete. So you get 10,000 XP when the Escalator finishes building after 3 days (likewise, 20,000 XP for the Pop Stix Bldg). This is what you see when clicking on the unfinished buildings. Don't the actual payouts in $ and XP show up in the market if you haven't bought the buildings? Maybe someone who has not bought these can check the actual payouts in the market. I sure hope they are payout items and not just plain old decorations...

I think you are right, the blue info button claims they both improve vanity and do not list a "regular payout rate".
