Valentines Neighbour Issues

I'm having that same problem! They leave hearts on my Springfield but for some reason I can't visit theirs cause they have an "older version". I restarted my phone and logged in and out of Tapped Out a few times and nothing seems to work :?`

There's some sort of error... some people's towns can be accessed, some can not.

I'm guessing that they are working on it, just be patient... and find some friends with accessible towns.

This is an ongoing issue. It seems everyone is stuck with only being able to get into a handful of their neighbors' towns. The key is to be patient and wait for the servers to realize that most of us have downloaded from the app store which triggers the in game updates and allows us to access each others towns again. Until then, you can stick around here and take part in all the forum chatting between playing and get your post count to a reasonable level so come next month you'll be promoted to level 2 and can get access to all the BB code and be able to display an avatar.

I can only get into about five Springfields. The rest say that (insert name here) had an "older version", including my second Springfield! It's very frustrating but I'm sure it'll be fixed shortly.

Patience folks. This is how EA rolls.

Step 1: Release a huge update to get everyone excited so they download immediately

Step 2: Include a major bug that makes the event unplayable for the vast majority

Step 3: Once a high enough percentage of players have downloaded update, fix bug

Step 4: Watch the cash roll in while many in the majority think they're behind and need to speed things up to complete the event

Step 5: Near event completion, announce that the event will go longer than previously advertised

Rinse, and repeat.

This "bug" is no mistake.

Thanks for the advise. I've added a few more neighbours, and some of those seem to be working ok. Will continue to try the others.

Same issue here and I already lost 4 neighbors because I'm assuming they thought I haven't updated.

Anyway, if you still have me as a neighbor, please don't think I haven't updated when in fact I DID update, but because of the stupid glitch, ppl can't visit me and out of my 90 neighbors, I was only able to visit one town........

Same name I have here is the same name I have in the game.

I forgot the key element to Step 5, "watch cash roll in while players think time is limited, then extend, and watch even more cash roll in once players KNOW time is limited."

EA isn't rich for being stupid. They might have garnered some well documented awfulness in terms of poor customer service, and they're rightfully known as one of the worst companies in existence, but they're not stupid.

Customer: Oops, I dropped a penny (bends over to pick it up)

EA: That's my penny! (Kicks customer in the face and steals the penny, then never answers any inquires regarding the subject ever again).

Of the neighbours I can visit, there's no options to send them a card. I think this is because not all buildings are card compatible and you can only tap when their building is ready for rent collection? (Correct me if I'm wrong) This is going to be a huge scramble for the Simpsons & Flanders houses!

Also, I have sent cards but not received a heart 5 times out of 9 card sending attempts! :?

If you have me as a friend still, I have updated, but I too am experiencing the same annoying glitch.

Nine9Nines is 100% right about the steps too - lol.

There was me thinking it was just my game, I'm actually having a friends clear out while I wait, I noticed that I can't remove some friends it only allows me to block or report. Anyone else get this issue?

I'm sorry to my neighbours who haven't got a visit from me yet, but thank you to those of you who have visited mine. I'm one of the ones with the bug and can't get into anyone's towns yet.

As soon as I do, I'll be throwing my V cards at you!

Yup, I seem to only be able to visit 3 of my friends, despite knowing a few more (at least) have the update. Argh! Oh, well.

Same thing here! Lot of people add me for the valentines and half of them are impossible to visit...fix please?

No one has visited me despite updating about 11 hours ago so I assume my town is a buggy one. I can visit about a dozen of my friends.
I hope people are patient and don't delete just because they can't access my town. Hopefully a resolution is found soon.

Ahahahahaha so true!!!

I have the same issue but I've noticed that if my friends have updated AFTER me then I can access their Springfields. Le sigh it looks like we need to give this a couple of days before it settles down.

Did you see the mass hysteria posts? The people deleting all their friends only to realize nobody could access towns and then making hundreds of desperate add-me threads to try to get friends back?

It was rather funny to watch.

Patience! I've read (don't remember) that the same thing happened during the Halloween/christmas updates. Took days for everybody to be able to visit friends.

Hmmm....I was really late to the party. Didn't update till around 8 last night. So if this is true then all my friends should be able to visit me since I updated after them.

They haven't visited.
