Old quests/buildings locked despite level?

So I took a lengthy break from the game last year, in which time several new buildings and characters were released, and all but the premium ones have been locked since I returned to the game. I've been busy with the monorail and various events, so I hadn't bothered to really check them out until today. A couple I'm especially interested in are the Slaughterhouse and Dr. Monroe Therapy. I finally looked them up just now and it seems like all you need to unlock them is to be a certain level (52 and 51, respectively). I'm at 102 For the Slaughterhouse it says you need to start the quest to unlock, but when I look up the building in the wiki, it says to start the quest you just complete the building I feel like I'm missing something really obvious...

What's in your taskbook? You'll probably have a task to build a lower level building that came before the ones you want. For example you'll have to build the level 50 building before you can build the level 51 building.

Edit: I had to look it up but the level 50 building was the Lovejoy house. Once that build finishes have Lisa free and the Dr Monroe quest should kick off.

That's showing up as premium for me, which is why I've ignored it. I hope it wasn't free and then became premium - it's 180 donuts! And my taskbook only has Krustlyland and SH-related quests, and the Redwood/money mountain.

Edit: the only free and unlocked buildings I haven't built yet are the Geriatric Medicine building and the Convention Center (and most of the multi-million dollar ones), if that's relevant. Geriatric Medicine is level 57, Convention Center 56.

Do'h my bad your right. The Lovejoy house was the premium for that level. The freebie was the House of Pancakes which unlocks Helen. If you have that building then the best thing to do would be to contact EA and open a support ticket.

I figured it out! I took your lead and found the oldest locked building (lvl 44) and looked up the previous content update. And lo and behold, it's the one Krustyland quest I've had mouldering in my taskbook (must be why I quit, I don't care about KL ). I just assumed they weren't connected! Hopefully once I complete that, all the other buildings will start to unlock in order.
