Just FYI the dozen donut bundle shop is showing up as the only donuts to purchase in some stores with the new update. It DOES NOT come with anything.
Try force closing app/restarting to get the donuts that come with bonuses to show up in your store
What you should see is below, missing the $6.99 CAD item with a character. Note that pricing may be different in your store/local currency. Think it's $4.99 US

I got it, really want the other character but steep price.
That decoration better come with a massive multiplier. Definitely a pass for me.
This feels like a new low and i'm sure they're testing this to see if this will be a new model going forward.
As a premium player tempted with going freemium, this is making me definitely not want to ever spend money again. We'll see what happens.
Not sure at all. I mistakenly picked up the dozen and got nothing. Then picked up the 60 donut one and got the character. Not buying more until I have more info or confirmation though.
Don't trust the message that says buy "any"
So getting a free item in addition to the donuts you would normally pay for is a new low? It is making those packs worth more without charging more. Ooo k.
My thoughts exactly. Im going to get the boatload which was already planned and looks like Ill be getting a hoochie statue with it lol
Weigh it out? If you dont think you need it problem solved. If you want it then you will have donuts to spare its a win win. Plus its going to the cause of keeping the game active.
No. I had already decided to not buy them often anymore, given the blah events overall this year (with one or two outstanding ones). I've been playing since day 1 and noticed a slow degradation of quality in the game, coupled with the rehashing the same events. When the DO make changes or add something, it's even more an obvious and direct money grab. They have never released content like this tied directly to the donut purchases. I see it as a marketing test, that if successful, will be incorporated into every facet of the game. For those who already WERE getting it, yes, it's a nice little prize. But, it's not completely "free"; It adds another "limited time, OMG!!!" item to try to scare and rush people to get something they wouldn't normally have gotten. Those anxiety driven people they hope to capitalize on.
If it was permanent, and if you received all content for the highest $'d donut purchases, (and if with each different level you get that item and all at lower $ levels, I'd be less frustrated. But that's not known yet. Regardless, it's problematic and frustrates your customers - something in EA's MO that other companies surprisingly try to avoid.
I'll wait and see if they do this at EVER event, adding all the much desired content ONLY through donut purchases. Shelbyville items are from one of the most popular elements of the Simpsons and something i know has been requested for years. It screams cheap marketing tricks to do it this way.
I suspect that if the marketing tricks they are testing are fruitful. Every event will be similar to this Pagan event. Fences, statues, and other smaller things with one or two bigger things to tap away to get, while all the cherished and prized items will be available only through Donut purchases. Creates a new level of scarcity items Tapped Out has never employed to make a quick buck.
Am happy to toss EA a meager $6.99 for my years of entertainment - regardless of how much I've spent before.
Everything I see in this game shows they don't care about longer term players and are trying DESPERATELY to get new players in. This would definitely get new players to purchase it, and possibly entice players already planning on getting some donuts to spend more money on the higher option. But for use that have already spent lots on this game, they certainly don't seem to care about us. This seriously marks a turning point in the game, imo. While it's just me, i assume many other long-time players will be frustrated with this. Newer players, i'd assume would be happy.
