Same here updated the app - get the logged in "tap here to continue", then tap and the donut spins for a moment then freezes. Have deleted and re-installed the app, turned the phone off and on, logged out and back into origin... no luck.
It would seem that EA are not sorting this as quickly as they should. I have the problem where I just get the screen that says "man, I hate this screen". I'm operating on iOS 6.1. I've tried deleting the app and reinstalling it but it still doesn't work. Glad I'm not the only one though and it's not my phone that is broken.
Have the same problem, where it looks as if it's about to load after tapping to login, and then just freezes. In my case, if I have the sound on, I get a constant harp sound which goes into a crash loop. I didn't have any problems in the beginning just after the update was released.

still down for me as well. It's something in the last update that's screwing it up. After my game updated this morning (i've no idea what was in the update as it had already done the valentine update and the lvl 26 update) it will no longer connect. It gets as far as 'synchronizing' and then kicks out to the 'cannot connect to server' screen

Update, after unsuccessfully deleting and reloading game a couple of times I've tried contacting ea games advisor. Waste of time!!! It won't even connect me to them. SORT IT OUT. Discraceful custermer service
