The staircase is not a limited item so I doubt the price will change (may actually go down in price like everything else does with the next update).

Take a gamble and go for the heart things and then get the staircase later.

The friend bonus thing is definitely dead, got hearts from a high yield neighbor today (usually the first tap is over $100) and today it was $17.

I'm glad it's gone, it was awful being exploited like that (LOL kidding) but I am glad it's gone.

I've been tapping away collecting from my buildings and I'm still getting a ton of cards. I don't think the two are related.

What was the friend bonus? Do you mean how the more consecutive neighbors you visit, without returning to your Springfield or getting disconnected, the more money you get? So now no matter how many neighbors we visit in a row we get the same amount from each?

When you receive valentines, many are attached to your characters that are on task. I don't think it's connected to buildings like the coins.

I'm assuming you are a he.

Yep, doesn't appear to multiply either. Before even if you didn't do the in/out for an hour thing, you still had a a multiplier by the time you were done making your normal rounds. I went into about 20 people after the other and it was always the same amount in every town. $17 per tap (but I must admit that I didn't pay close attention so it may have gone up a tiny bit)

I visited one town that only had one card to click on. It was over the treehouse. Everything else had nothing to click on, except for brown houses which had the $ sign. There weren't even any spraycans. I went back a couple of hours later and still nothing.

Can other neighbors take all the cards? How long do they take to regenerate?

Just went back and had some hearts. I am able to go to bed satisfied, for once.
