I'm right there with you. This is what I submitted to EA Support this morning:
After downloading the Valentine's Update I entered my Springfield. I was not advanced to level 26 and played Apu's bonus game. I was able to purchase Donuts, purchase Shauna, and assign tasks. I was unable to visit any friends' town (Your friend is using an older version of the game.) I was able to visit the "Other Springfield". Assigned tasks, closed the app for the night. The following day when I opened the app I automatically downloaded an update. Entered my town and was advanced to level 26. Was able to play I&S lottery, collect from buildings, etc. Still unable to visit friends, same error as before.
On my next visit the application began taking me from the opening title screen to "Cannot Connect to Server, Man, I hate this screen" repeatedly, with no return to the login screen (Main splash screen, spinning donut, no Origin link).
Here are the steps I have taken to correct the situation:
1. Force quit the application.
Result: Restarting the application returns me to the Origin Login Screen, attempting to enter my Springfield generates the Cannot Connect to Server>Main Screen with "Synchronizing" message>Cannot Connect to Server loop.
2. Logged out and into Origin.
Result: Upon logging in I was able to view my friends list, edit friends, view invites, etc. When I attempted to enter my Springfield I was placed in my town (saw Valentine's, completed tasks, etc.) for several seconds before I was booted to the Cannot Connect to Server>Main Screen with "Synchronizing" message>Cannot Connect to Server loop.
3. Uninstalled and Reinstalled the Application.
Result: When I attempted to enter my Springfield I was placed in my town (saw Valentine's, completed tasks, etc.) for serveral seconds before I was booted to the Cannot Connect to Server>Main Screen with "Synchronizing" message>Cannot Connect to Server loop.
Note that with actions 2 and 3 each time I entered my Springfield I was warned that my device had not saved my Springfield and progress could be lost. I advanced through the warnings to enter my town.
Assistance would be very much appreciated.
That's my message. I'm looking forward to getting back into my town (having been a TSTO Springfielder since release I'm used to not having access and everything eventually working out) and enjoying the very welcome spring colors. If anyone has any other suggestions for getting past this loop I would be very grateful. One thing I didn't mention to EA, but probably should have, since last night I am receiving notifications of "Friend Invites" on my device. I just can't get into my town.[/quote
my town was fine after the first update but the second one (not sure what it was for) started the problems i am still having. last time i got on successfully was early yesterday morning. just re-installed for the 11th time and still same thing happens. getting fed up with seeing man i hate this screen. HE hates it? I bloody hate it!!
