Man, I hate this screen.

I'm having this problem! Doing my head in! Can't connect through wifi or 3G, deleted and reinstalled app 4 times!! Factory reset my phone still nothing! Uggggggh!

    I'm right there with you. This is what I submitted to EA Support this morning:

    After downloading the Valentine's Update I entered my Springfield. I was not advanced to level 26 and played Apu's bonus game. I was able to purchase Donuts, purchase Shauna, and assign tasks. I was unable to visit any friends' town (Your friend is using an older version of the game.) I was able to visit the "Other Springfield". Assigned tasks, closed the app for the night. The following day when I opened the app I automatically downloaded an update. Entered my town and was advanced to level 26. Was able to play I&S lottery, collect from buildings, etc. Still unable to visit friends, same error as before.

    On my next visit the application began taking me from the opening title screen to "Cannot Connect to Server, Man, I hate this screen" repeatedly, with no return to the login screen (Main splash screen, spinning donut, no Origin link).

    Here are the steps I have taken to correct the situation:
    1. Force quit the application.
    Result: Restarting the application returns me to the Origin Login Screen, attempting to enter my Springfield generates the Cannot Connect to Server>Main Screen with "Synchronizing" message>Cannot Connect to Server loop.

    2. Logged out and into Origin.
    Result: Upon logging in I was able to view my friends list, edit friends, view invites, etc. When I attempted to enter my Springfield I was placed in my town (saw Valentine's, completed tasks, etc.) for several seconds before I was booted to the Cannot Connect to Server>Main Screen with "Synchronizing" message>Cannot Connect to Server loop.

    3. Uninstalled and Reinstalled the Application.
    Result: When I attempted to enter my Springfield I was placed in my town (saw Valentine's, completed tasks, etc.) for serveral seconds before I was booted to the Cannot Connect to Server>Main Screen with "Synchronizing" message>Cannot Connect to Server loop.

    Note that with actions 2 and 3 each time I entered my Springfield I was warned that my device had not saved my Springfield and progress could be lost. I advanced through the warnings to enter my town.

    Assistance would be very much appreciated.

    That's my message. I'm looking forward to getting back into my town (having been a TSTO Springfielder since release I'm used to not having access and everything eventually working out) and enjoying the very welcome spring colors. If anyone has any other suggestions for getting past this loop I would be very grateful. One thing I didn't mention to EA, but probably should have, since last night I am receiving notifications of "Friend Invites" on my device. I just can't get into my town.

    my town was fine after the first update but the second one (not sure what it was for) started the problems i am still having. last time i got on successfully was early yesterday morning. just re-installed for the 11th time and still same thing happens. getting fed up with seeing man i hate this screen. HE hates it? I bloody hate it!!

    my game just did another update (the fourth one it's done counting the app store update) and it's still having the same issue. It was the third time that did it, the fourth has not fixed it.

    I've tried to delete and reinstall several times. Every time I do this it will let me on the game for a grand total of 3 seconds, just long enough to see my town before it kicks me out. And after that all I get is the 'cannot connect to server'.

    There is some serious lack of QC with this game.

    I wonder if the app store update and the in game update are clashing and thus causing the game to crash?

    Im also having this issue really not happy at all im missing out on events and limited items thanks to this stupid error my girlfriend plays this with no issue on her iphone 4, maybe its a issue on the iphone 5 only ?

    Has anyone heard anything from EA about this issue? I've sent multiple requests via their help system but they have yet to respond.

    having the same "Can't Connect to Server" problem.
    started last night around midnight PST
    after I downloaded an update that leveled me up to Level 26.
    saw a locked Wiggums house and everything.
    apparently, Level 26 isn't supposed to be released until next week.
    I know this for sure.

    is that Level 26 update that I shouldn't have gotten causing the issue
    where I can't connect to the server?

    is there some way this can be fixed?
    or do I have to wait until Level 26 is available to all
    before things start working normally?

    downloading the Valentine's update caused no problem.
    the issue started with the later Level 26 update.
    saw another update download today,
    but still couldn't log in.
    the "Man I hate this screen" issue still.

    the lvl 26 update isn't supposed to be out? Then why the hell did my game update to it? How do you know it's not supposed to be out yet?

    i do know that i had friends who haven't had this problem
    who didn't get the Level 26 update
    and they were playing all day.
    these are friends who were also at level 25
    and had been for awhile.
    usually, updates go to all of us,
    not to just a few.

    it seems like the few who got the Level 26 update
    are the ones with "Cannot connect to the server" problem.

    So I'll give my update:

    I'm back in the game, able to visit friends, collect hearts, etc. It's actually running really smoothly.

    I'm back at level 25.

    My XP bar is filling with tasks completed, friends visited, etc.

    The premium and regular content I purchased while level 26 is still in my Springfield. (Police Car, Tetherball, Rabbit Topiary and Swing Set). The content is not available in my store, marketplace... what are we calling that?

    I still have the Ralph Wiggum quest in my task book. I can no longer see his house in my store (wishing I hadn't bought all that land for Mr. Burn's house) so I guess I'll pick that up when it releases to everyone.

    I did nothing special to accomplish this. My last reinstall was around 17:00 Central Time and the immediate result was the Cannot Connect loop. Had my phone on the desk on it's charger so I just let it loop. Woke the phone up after a while to the standard "Tap to Enter" screen. Tapped, entered, been playing ever since.

    Hopefully everyone else that is experiencing this interruption is back online or will be shortly.

    Oh, and the tetherball animates when you tap it. :)

    no luck yet for me.

    Every time I reinstall the game, it re does the download (which I'm assuming is the lvl 26 download) so it's still fubar.

    I don't know how you get it to actually loop the reconnecting, I always have to tap 'retry' to get it to try connecting again.

    Just had he little download plate and still can't get in its almost 48 hours now

    Getting to he login screen click ok then gets to just before you get into the town win a harp repeating itself. Annoying

    I have down everything reinstalled app. Deleted friends everything I can think of still nothing

    What I have noticed that if I log out and can get into the game no problem but I'm lvl 26 and spent far to much money on doughnuts to just start again

    Come ea pull your finger out

    I'm not a very happy chappie ATM

    i deleted tapped out and reinstalled.
    was able to log in,
    but only briefly.
    saw i was now back to Level 25.

    hoping whatever happened for Ryansmach happens for me soon.

    EA, any advice?

    Still the same **** for me. Every now and then it lets me in, giving me the warning that my other device didn't sync. I continue, get into my Springfield, maybe tap on one thing, and boom, server error. I'm really sick of this *.

    Same problem for me. I started building the Wiggum house AND the escalator (which during the "second update" was for 500000, not 1 million). I'm guessing that's what's causing my problem. I'm not in synch with everyone else. When my friend visited my Springfield, he said I was still level 26 and all the stuff I started building was still building. Tried everything everyone else did, but ultimately get the "I hate this" screen. It's been over 24 hrs now. :(

    Same issue here.... :( more than 48 hours now! I contacted the game on their official FB page and they said to try a better internet connection....errr..i never had this issue prior to the update...

    still nothing, still cannot get on. I even tried downloading the game from the app store itself instead of just going to the cloud to redownload.

    Every single time I reinstall it, it downloads the update, which of course screws the whole thing up and it crashes. I'm getting annoyed, I want my game back damn it.

    I've got the same problem...game won't load. I've tried re-installing but still not working. It's been 48 hours now!!!! Very annoyed
