Hey all, I really enjoy looking and exploring other towns as well. Many people have amazing ideas and designs. Im looking for some new neighbours with good looking springfields. I myself have just redesigned my springfield and it is coming along nicely in my opinion haha. Ill admit i did run out of room abit so some things are squished together in a corner but i plan on making it look better when i can afford more land
I also saw a couple of people making hedge mazes and i decided to have a crack at one too. I think it turned out pretty good. add me on csmith17 see what you think ill look forward to viewing your springfields too

I just added you. Mazes and gardens are some of my favorite features in my neighbors' towns. Right now I have three pretty large botanical gardens/mazes

Thankyou. I just visited your town. I love it. especially the way you used water in your town, it flows perfectly through the town. I like what you have done with the hospital too, its well thought out.
Fritter, echoes, uman, I'm glad to have you as neighbors. You all have great towns and it's nice to see you posting here too. Hope you come around more often!

Thanks so much. My next major project is a boardwalk, I just need the land. Your maze is pretty epic nice job. Every Springfield needs an epic moment or three.
My two large gardens are actually working mazes they have hidden spaces where I can lay in pieces of road. Now that I have more neighbors I should get them up and running, however most of my residents seem less inclined to use the roads than they did a couple months ago.
Fritter2 - I only re-did my church the other day as I wasn't enjoying the look of it before! I have just purchased some more land at the bottom of my town and have done another housing area and am doing a park right in the middle of it! Quite like how it is looking so far! Still a work in progress though!
Your school area is very impressive too, i really like what you have done with the volleyball courts!
I also understand what you mean about feeling guilty for deleting people, but if you get your friends list up you can see if any of them are not logging in! That way if they aren't playing a lot at least then they may not notice! :P
After xmas I cut down my friends from 100 to 30, purely because I thought it would solve my crashing issues! It didn't! I only kept forum regulars, and the few towns I found really creative and nice to look around! (Yours being one of them!)
It's not mean to delete people, their friends list can easily be filled again by new neighbours!
Wow, 100 to 30?! I'm so happy I survived a cut like that! I would have been bummed to lose you as a neighbor. That's it, I'm going to make some cuts today. Thanks for the kick in the ****!
As for your park, I noticed it when I was in your town yesterday and I love it! It's a lot like what has been forming in my mind for the past few days. I am picturing some kind of winding walk path that connects my hospital (still to come) with my flower shop. I just need to find the time to sit down and start designing!

Love having you as a neighbor too, Jopa! I've always thought you have a great eye for design and I love all the trees in your town. Yeah, I'm not much of a poster, but starting to feel a little more comfortable with it. Ha! Thanks for the nice words.

I admit I've had moments where I realize my town isn't as awesome as I thought it was while I was putting it together. But likewise I'm still able to look at my town and tell a story about why it's laid out the way it is. It makes sense to me, and after spending as much time as I have with my it I've realized it's very difficult to move stuff without it looking VERY strange to me.
Like I currently have the Guilded Truffle just chilling on a block that includes the retirement castle and Dr. Hibbert's...and it makes no sense. But I can't think of a better place because moving it looks "wrong".
Same with Burns' Manor, which is currently smack dab in the middle of town. And will likely be there until I've saved enough to buy one of the two monuments and can start buying more land to move things around.

Can't agree more.
I think that most of the "good towns" are built using his approach - there is little life in town what doesn't follow some kind of logic. For me it was natural to place Burns Manor on the most expensive patch of land, build the observatory in the mountains and bowling alley along the highway, create my first park near the school and so on. I have tried to build my Springfield into town where I would like to live.
... Another problem I'm having is that some of my most lazy neighbors are people I know, like in real life! They're taking up valuable real estate, but deleting them will involve some careful stepping that I'm only now trying to figure out...
It is easier for me - it seems that I may be the only estonian playing this game ;-)
Fritter I have to say I was super excited when I looked at my friends menu earlier and saw an invite from you. Partially because of all the things that people have said in this thread about your town and partially because Fritter is quite possibly the best user name I have seen.
I agree that your Pimento Grove is the finest use of the building I have seen thus far. I also love that you have a non-traditional Springfield Sign placement. The Sign is one of the few premiums I dont have and thats mostly because I havent thought of a creative way to fit it into my town yet.
Ive gained a couple of awesome new Springfields from this thread (several who are lurking rather than posting) and I cant wait until I have a little more free time to stroll around.

Some of my laziest in game friends are my real life friends as well. I have had to remove all of my brown houses (I think there were 4) because one of my real life friends keeps going in and tapping only brown houses just to see if he can * me off. (I still have one out of the way so I can send characters on tasks, but he's too lazy to look for it).
Urmas - Estonia that's awesome. I love how international this game is.

Thank you jopa! This might sound a little weird but I've always really liked your use of trees. I prowl these forums from the shadows often times but don't write a whole lot because I never feel like I have much to contribute.
After reading so many accolades for JayTay, I'm really honored that my friend request was accepted. What an amazing town!
I just accepted a bunch of friend requests this morning, and I'll be deleting some house farmers and people that haven't played in ages, so I'm looking forward to having some awesome new neighbors that take as much pride in their Springfield as I do!

Fragrlr0ck, I'm so happy to have you as a neighbor, your town rocks! Ive been planning to send you an invite for days now but I had to wait to make some room. I finally put my big girl pants on yesterday, pushed my guilt aside, deleted some people, and quickly sent you an invite. Oh, how I love your hedge work! And I was in awe of your hospital, especially since I'm finally getting ready to build mine.
Glad you like fritter as a username! Our last name has the word "apple" in it so we are often referred to as the "applefritters." Ha!
