Can it be assumed that crafting doesn't give us pins?

I'm recalling the crafting model in older events and for each item you craft and place in your town, you would be able to get that Act's currency.

Is that the case for this event? Do we get pins from crafting? I mysteriously lost my Sky Credits a few days ago, so crafting is harder now. I'm going to keep on marching on though!

I don't recall receiving any credits or event currency this time when placing the crafted item.
