What is the point of this? Do we get rewards? ANd when we go into towns, how do we activate it?

Hi, I'm not sure if anyone knows exactly what the point of it is (unless I've missed a post on here explaining it ) from what I've read it is speculated that it's some kind of community prize, as to how do we activate it I'm not sure what you are asking sorry.
