Donut price increase UK

I was going to buy some donuts today and noticed quite a hike in the prices, from £7.99 to £9.99 for 132 and from £14.99 to £19.99 for 300. Is this a recent increase, I brought some early Jan at the old prices but not sure when they went up. I guess it's due to the exchange rates though.

  • This has been discussed many times on the forums. The USD price did not change. If you are outside the US, the price increase you noticed is the result of a strong USD, your local currency's weakness, or both.

Here is the original thread. Apple blamed it on brexit.

Nothing to do with the pound it was Apples fear over brexit.

Pull up a 3 year chart on USD/GBP and you will see that the line started moving before the Brexit vote.
  • Thanks for the link HomerND84.

Sorry for the repeat, I did search the forums but nothing relative came up due to using wrong key words, I also went back several pages!

Luckily it's my birthday in 3 weeks so I'll be asking for ITunes gift cards

It's a lot easier for Apple to say Brexit than to explain forex currency pairs to the general public. If Apple and Google didn't raise prices accordingly, their own profits would suffer, and their stock price might suffer.

It's been bad for years It used to be $2 to the £1 and €2 to the £1. It's not just Apple it's other companies that are blaming brexit.
