i do still feel a bit like a traitor, my grandpa use to own his own appliance repair shop (until they made it where you had to be certified in different stuff in which case he decided to just retire and get a motor home) and we have always been a whirl pool or may tag family...this is one of those new LG's.... but still excited about it!!
That's great! I love getting new appliances. It makes doing housework fun (for a short while
I feel your happiness! I am designing my new home and I need to buy some things. I still need a refrigerator and a washing machine, but I'll probabluy buy them soon.
This weekend I bought many many things, like silverware, a whole set of plates, pans, knives and other kitchen stuff. I looked like a kid on a toy store while shopping for these thingies
@camillasan372 How exciting! There's nothing I love more than decorating a new place...except helping to decorate someone else's...more fun to spend their money!
@HomerND84 I didn't know that about the lifespan of current new appliances...makes me angry. We have become such a throw away society. We need more people like Rhi's Grandpa.
I recently bought a new toaster, not because the old one was broken but because it LOOKED old. My mom gave it to me used and the thing is now 41 years old!! When I took the new one out of the box, I put the old one in the box and on a shelf in my storage room. Because the new one seems so cheaply made, I'm pretty certain I will have to get the old one back out in a few months.
Great. Now I'm angry and scared. Whatever happened to 'pride in your work'?
WAIT WHAT?
How do you manually light an electric stove?
Enjoy the new W\D.. just roll with it and enjoy those hot steamy clean clothes and stuff.
