Who doesn't get excited by Tom Waits?

    People from Shelbyville. That's who.

I envision this board becoming a technological version of the Sneetches.

"Now, the Apple-Bell Sneetches had bellies with apples.
The Google-Belly Sneetches had none upon thars.
Those apples weren’t so big. They were really so small.
You might think such a thing wouldn’t matter at all.

But, because they had apples, all the Apple-Belly Sneetches
Would brag, “We’re the best kind of Sneetch on the beaches.”
With their snoots in the air, they would sniff and they’d snort
“We’ll have nothing to do with the Google-Belly sort!”
And, whenever they met some, when they were out walking,
They’d hike right on past them without even talking...."

I may just switch to my galaxy tablet!

But you won't have any friends or limited time items. It's the nonsocial version.

If hey add origin I will switch.

The game runs 10x better on android. Then again it's really early so who knows.

Still happy it is there more people mean more content.

In December, Electronic Arts told GamerTell The Simpsons: Tapped Out would be arriving on the Android platform in early 2013. It appears EA has made good on that statement because Android users in the Netherlands and Australia can download the app right now from Google Play.

If you attempt to download The Simpsons: Tapped Out from most regions, you’ll get an error that says the game is currently not available in your country. This kind of thing happens frequently with iOS apps that appear in New Zealand about 24 hours before North America. I know Android users have been waiting several months for a chance to play this game, but at least we now know the wait is nearly over for most of us.

The Android version of The Simpsons: Tapped Out is currently lagging behind its iOS counterpart. The Christmas update is installed by default, but the iOS version is on the new Valentines update.

If you haven’t played this game yet, here’s a quick primer. The Simpsons: Tapped Out is another entry in the line of town-building games. Homer destroyed Springfield and you have to build it up again in whatever way you see it. As with the majority of free-to-play games like this, progressing is very slow if you don’t spend real money on premium currency. Should you choose to not give in, you’ll find yourself waiting hours for one character to complete a single task.

That may sound like a turnoff, but the game is actually very successful. EA said The Simpsons: Tapped Out made over $23 million in revenue in the third quarter of 2012 which ended on December 31.

We have a bunker...it's the non-Valentine thread! Remember how safe we were there? And now, just when we thought it was safe to come out.

Please oh please oh please oh please oh please DO NOT turn into a bunch of TSTO hipsters who bemoan that the game is effectively ruined because it's not longer iOS exclusive and the Android users are going to ruin the game. I went through that crud when Instagram added an Android version last year and I really don't want to see it happening here. You guys are a great group of people to interact with and I really don't want to see you becoming something I really don't like.
