Anyone missing last year animations?

...so it is just a game and just animations, I don't understand your argument, English not being my first language let me rephrase. I liked last year animations and I would have liked to have something similar this year. Halloween has always been a big event for TSTO, expectations are always high, so far I think last year 's event was better partly because of the animations.

There isn't much that people agree on but the game animations is one of the few things that the majority of the board agrees was a great addition to the game during the two events that they were featured in.

A shame, all that work to make some of the buildings visually striking gone to waste.

Last week some buildings were animated and i think the courthouse had a banner or something but it only lasted for an hour.

1st STO Halloween here, but having seen images & discussed this in other threads, also agree that full building animations & fog would be ideal 8)

The animations were great last year - especially the buidlings which were haunted and had ghosts floating around them.

This year just doesn't seem like Halloween, it's more like an alien sci-fi tie in than ghosts and ghoulies.

I get that they are trying to mix it up and make each event different from the last one(s) but this event just doesn't have anything like the atmosphere of last year.

Still enjoying the event though.

I, for one, am enjoying not having to view my town through the foggy haze of a smudgy dullness.

I'm with you on this one, I enjoy the event but I think something from last year is missing.

That was because it was set at night, but you have to admit that the animations from the haunted building were nice...remember the lights at the Mad Dreams House?

Has to be the lights on the BDH house when a neighbour tapped it, of course with not being able to tap buildings this animation hasnt happened

The light show was / is still the best building animation i think

UFOs should bomb the houses. Evrything would be on fire, I think it'd be more invasion feeling.

That is an idea, but clearly for me something is missing, I don't dislike the event, but it will be highly forgettable in my opinion.

Maybe phase three starts on Halloween for a reason -- do you think maybe we'll get the real haunted stuff when it updates tomorrow? That would make sense to me ... More parallel with how Halloween decorations are in real life ...
