Ongoing Android Problems: Level 46 edition

Prev1
Confirmed that I still don't have the ability to add new friends. Not sure if this is Android exclusive, but I can still do this on my ipod.

Yes, both of them are happening together, but this is thread refreshed with the recent major update.

    Hello,
The only problem I'm having is it's extremely lagging. I'm on a Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2. Its a brand new tablet that has 2 quad core processors in it with 3gb of ram, so it's not the tablet. Everything runs smooth and great on this tablet except this game. The lag is so bad that I can't even play it that often because it takes so long to maneuver around the screen and collect things...and forget trying to scroll through the shop or your inventory!

So here's a strange thing that just started happening on my Nexus 7 tablet, running latest KitKat: I get the popup saying, "unfortunately, Tapped Out has stopped" while I'm doing something completely different. I'll be online or playing something else, and here's this random popup about Tapped Out stopping, even though it isn't running :?
It's now done this at least once a day for the last three days, so I thought it was worth a mention. Restart hasn't solved it. If it keeps happening, I'll try a reinstall.

Larger text and icons blocking most of screen

    Just upgraded to Medion Lifetab 10.1 S10333 (MD 98828) running 4.4.2 from a Galaxy Tab 2 10.1.
It says on the Play Store that is is a Lenovo and that is probably true.

Saw in Ongoing Android Problems: Halloween edition thread that it is happening to other Lenovo tablets

Thats a new one. Come to think of it though, I do sometimes get gremalien noises when I'm not playing the game. I just assumed I was getting push notifications or something. I'll have to pay closer attention to that next time.

It does appear to be almost exclusively with Lenovo. I will highlight this in green.

Okay, now I can confirm that I am getting these crash reports too, even when my game is not open. So screwy.

Screwy indeed! It's happened twice today. Looks like I'm reinstalling.

It does this to me also. I'm using a Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2, but I'm also running KitKat. A couple times a day the black box saying "Unfortunately, Tapped Out Has Stopped" comes up even if the game isn't opening or running. I haven't paid attention, but since the error isn't happening when the game is actually open, maybe it's happening when the game goes to send push notifications through?

I don't think it's related to push notifications, I have those turned off (too many embarrassing incidents) but I am still getting the random "Tapped Out has stopped working" pop-up.

I also, at least for the last couple of weeks, have insane issues logging on to play (ie no sever connection) on Saturday evenings. It's 1130 (est) right now and I'm due to change over my ToTers before bed, but I can't get logged in. I have cleared my cache, force stopped the app, and restarted my phone (Galaxy Note 3 running 4.4.2)

Well, so far it hasn't happened since I reinstalled.

Btw, these are my steps to a clean reinstall:
    Clear cache
    Force stop
    Clear data
    Uninstall
    Restart device
    Install

I don't know for sure if all that is necessary, but sometimes it seems like bits of bad data hang out somewhere in memory if I don't do it this way.

Just taken your advice neuroheart after my iPad's been crashing quite a lot! Working perfectly now and fingers crossed it stays that way! :)

If only this way fixed the Samsung Galaxy S5 issues! Just tried and still no joy. At least I'm not the only one!

Well, it has happened. Brand new Nexus 9, fresh install, on the very first (and all subsequent) launch the app just displays the Gracie logo, fades to black, then exits. On my Nexus 7, I could switch back from ART to Dalvik to fix this. Not an option on Lollipop. I'm dead in the water until the app works on ART.

    Kindle Fire 6.3.3

Ever since the night of 11/4/14, the game is exiting on me.

Sometimes its when I enter my town. Sometimes I can get 3 taps off before the exit.

Once this morning I downloaded a small patch - I didn't see how big it was. The Kindle Fire store shows no update for the game.

The majority of the time I see the loading screen with spinning donut and then the game simply exits.

I've tried completely rebooting the tablet, I'm trying to avoid the pain of having to reinstall.

Ok well not sure about problems on androids or iPads as apparently I just read someone's iPad was crashing a lot.

Don't know if the iPad uses a differnt iOS then a iPod touch but I'm sure it must be with the individual iPad.
I'll install TSTO on my cousins and see what happens.

Either way on the 5th gen iPod touch like the last ones I have not had really meant issues with
The game TSTO. Or any adult swim games. Also plants vs zombies 1 and 2 work awesome.

Did notice a but if slow down on PVZ 2 after while playing the beach zone maps but it's halfway done so yeah that could be why.

Either way I edited this as the last post I was posting was deemed stupid by me.

Either way I have great experiences on a iPod touch.

    So give one a try.
Great tapping and hope this helps.

Hi, I haven't seen my device mentioned yet but I'm having the same problem as S5 users, the game will crash on start up back to the home screen.

nVidia Shield Tablet running Android 4.4.2 Kitkat.

It is currently running in Dalvik as default, I did try changing to Art, still crashed, changed back to Dalvik and still no luck. I've re-installed the app as well several times, still cannot get anything except the starting splash screen with the company logos.

I too have this happen on my galaxy s4. I have no idea why that would even happen
