I dont know if theres many other in the same boat as me. I came close to getting the last prizes but didnt get a single one. Didnt even get close to being able to craft them either. Was really dissapointed about the u.b.o as i wanted and tryed pretty damn hard to get it. Yet still fell short with 13500 strings.

This game is like football, corrupted. the team/person who pays the most wins the league/finishes events. if you don't pay you will never get out of the bottom half of the table.

It's called pay to win, when they make it near impossible to win without paying.

    1) That's not even remotely true that it's near impossible to get all the prizes without paying
    2) Of course you have to play. Are you really complaining that you can't get everything without playing?

Yes I am, what other games do you play that you have to pay more money to finish the game ? Maybe I'm getting on a bit but you paid money for a game outright then it never cost anything to complete a game but time, now we live in a world of do you want to get ahead in this game pay money and we'll basically give you a cheat code.

I played the event nearly every 4 hours on two different accounts, a premium account and a freemium account.
I just finished the event yesterday by spending donut's on the pass and have all the kids speeded up the start.
I put the same amount of time in on the freemium account didn't get any of the 2nd prizes, then them prizes got put into the craft list and couldn't get anywhere close to the chocolate or pumpkins to craft them, yeah I got close to earning everything but just missed out by a small amount. I'd say for a freemium player if you missed the prizes it will be impossible to craft them after.

It's really not the case at all. Plenty of people have gotten all prizes without spending donuts.

I didn't spend any donuts except for the Rigel 7 portal which barely makes a difference.

I'm currently over 21000 protein strings. It's all about how much effort you put into the game. It's most definitely doable to get all prizes as freemium.

For those above discussing that you needed to pay money to complete the event I'd like to say that I finished the event in my freemium town with no problems and definitely no real money. I didn't even have to feed eggs from may main town to complete the event in my freemium town. I got all the prizes in all three phases with 2-3 days to spare. So, it was possible to get all the prizes without spending a penny on the game.

Yeah but you have to play it without having a life, I felt I was playing it to much tbh even though I had a premium account using everything that could possibly help me, and I only finished the event yesterday. Far to much work, especially when you paid, and that jumps up a lot if you don't spend money to speed things up.

You don't have to. It's a game. Play effectively and you can easily get all the prizes without paying real money.
As I said before, like all games you have play to win the top prizes.
Sounds like I played a lot less than you and easily got all the prizes with time to spare.

Yep, this is good advice. Don't update, and keep tapping them in your town and sending kids ToT'n. You might not be able to get your full allowance from friends once most of them update, but you should still be able to easily reach 14,900 by the time you're forced to update.

the event was doable if you have no life

personally i like to socialise after work, go away for the weekend, etc...so i am unable to play the game often enough to get enough protein strings

they shouldn't make these events so discriminatory to people who aren't losers

That's not true at all. I worked 9 hours a day during the week, partied Friday and Saturday nights, and had other social obligations throughout, and still managed to get everything except the hover copter without spending a penny.

    Not true at all.

I played twice a day -- in the morning before work, and in the evening after dinner -- and I got all the prizes without spending a single donut. I don't have an extra Simpson town and I only have 32 friends that I visit. It's completely do-able.

I might add that my wife and I went away last weekend to celebrate our anniversary, and we entertained guests the previous weekend, and entertain students (we're college professors) often in the evenings, so I do have a life.

Not sure what you're whinging about.

Yeah, I don't get what you're complaining about either. If you're not the kind of "loser" who only cares about this game, then what is the big deal about not getting all the prizes?
I spent way more time on this event than I would feel comfortable admitting to anyone besides my boyfriend (he plays too:). I didn't spend any money or donuts and got all prizes but it took a little planning and hoarding. But I enjoyed it so I made that choice. You set your own priorities.
    And there is still time.

With such a pleasant attitude it's definitely not surprising that you have so many friends to socialize with.

Don't mind the kid. He's part of the "instant gratification" club. You know, where you don't have to try very hard to get anything, and it's more or less handed to you for nothing.

Look guy, don't come on here whining about how unfair life is. If you don't have time to play, don't play.

I understand that some people struggled with this event, but I don't think it was necessary to pay donuts to complete. I spent a bit on things like witch Marge, and I bought the portal (last week, mind, far too late to matter) because I loved how it looked, but I didn't buy the license or any eggs or any crafting items, and I managed. My significant other also managed to earn all prizes and craft everything available, and he didn't have the portal or anything like that. (He was concerned about this phase, but he unlocked the UBO yesterday.)
I know not everyone could log on enough, but if you managed to get on regularly for just five minutes at a time for alien squishing and trick or treat, you probably did okay. (Donuts always make it easier, of course, that's what they do.)

Not nice. I suggest you not insult a high percentage of the people on this board. Mmkay?

Make sure have enough neighbors for these events. I figure a minimum of 32.
