This happens to me as well. I assumed it was because I'm over my deco limit. To those who are experiencing this, are you at or over your deco limit?

Yes, for me. My wife isn't and her lag time is half of what mine is.

Mine lags for about 5 seconds, its kinda annoying. I know 5 seconds may not sound like a lot but count it in your head, and use the mississippi's

Aha! This is just what I suspected.

I'm now playing the game of "don't add anything, unless you sell something." I'm also concerned that this will cause a lag for my neighbors when they visit me.

Having a ton of stuff in your Springfield does make sense, however I never have received an alert stating that I have too many items in my Springfield or that I'm close to the limit.

Bridges. For me the lag was being caused by bridges.

My lag got so bad I couldnt decorate or move ANYTHING.. I had lots of bridges forming moats, ponds, yadda yadda. I removed most of them and the lag vanished. I notice that when I'm visiting neighbors, the few that take a long time to open almost invariably have a lot of bridges. Must be a problem with this device trying to "render" all that intricate bridgework.

I am not close to the decorations limit.

Thanks for this info! This could be the problem, really makes sense since I have bridges everywhere :P

This problem was happening a few months back, then it seems like it was fixed, lately Ive been getting this issue again.

I contacted EA about this because it went from 2 second lag to a good 10 second lag and I was fed up, they were basically like HERE'S A LINK TO OUR TROUBLESHOOTING PAGE and that was it... I haven't tried reinstalling the app yet, I'm gonna wait til after the halloween event....

Good to know. I guess I'll have to limit my bridges. I do love them though.

This has been happening in my game for a few updates now and since this hasn't been fixed, was wondering if others are encountering the same issue?

When tapping on land to create or trash, cement to build, water to create, etc. , after tapping the "x" or the "trashcan", the game freezes for about a minute.

If I click on an object during this freeze it speeds things up a little, but this can still be frustrating (especially when you go to move an object and the game thinks you want to create or remove land/water/cement/etc.) as it takes forever the complete the process.

    Happens to me too...

Well it was happening before my hover-copter disappeared and during my troubleshooting for that, I did reinstall. It did not help, no.
I am definitely suffering the same issue and it bugs me!

this might be drastic, but i ended up nuking my whole town into storage and redesigning from scratch.... it took me 3 days to finish, but since i've nuked, no lag issues anymore.

my old town was waaaaay better but i'll trade that over lag ANY DAY

i tried a reinstall, it did jack sh**
