What good does it do to ask if there's going to be an update?
Does knowing ahead of time exactly when the Thanksgiving update comes out, if at all, really make a difference?
Is there really any "preparation" someone could do?
When was the last time we got more than a day's notice about an update?
If there was relevant information, wouldn't it just be posted on the forums?
Do people really think the information is out there, just waiting for a new thread about it?
Can't people just check the front page, see if there's info about a new update, and if there isn't, just be OK with there not being an update?
I get where your coming from but I think your delivering your message in the wrong way. I think speculation is fun as long as expectations are kept in check.
It's not about impatient...47 lvl it's grate and new things this is really good..i don't mean to be thankless..it's just not fair...i like this holiday and to bad don't have the spirit in the game=)
I was going a bit tap happy this morning when I logged in, but I am pretty sure something popped up about pilgrims but I missed it. I checked the app store and no update.

that's the dialouge from the questline Judge Synder says Which, according to the Pilgrims who wrote our town charter, is punishable by death. How do you plead?

I tapped too fast, but thank you for the reply. I wish it was about a Thanksgiving update.

I'm not getting your problem. It's a tapped out forum, so it makes sense people would post about Tapped Out here.
Starting this thread is acceptable...not everyone's devices get the updates in real time or at the same time. Checking this forum and thread specifically allowed me to see if anyone else had an update that hadn't been pushed to my device yet.

Developers supposedly check the forums - while we have never gotten a response from them - perhaps they may just start doing so. Never know, and never hurts to ask.

Yes, it means that if someone normally tasks characters for 24 hours, it means to not use those. If we know the update is tomorrow, then if you set 24 hour tasks between now and tomorrow it means you will lose a day on starting Thanksgiving quest line. If there will be a neighbor interaction, this would also apply to not visit them. If you know of the content that is premium, one could have bought donuts (meaning a proper package) so they can get all the content that they want. There's also a land concern - will there be too much content for the current land? Will more land get released?
When was the last time we got more than a day's notice about an update?
I think the only events they 'really' teased was last year's Halloween update (in game quest line regarding these very forums). Never know - right now they seem to update Facebook prior to the update (a day early) - they've done this at least since the Stonecutters event (also did Clash I think too).

Knowing is part of the battle. Some are new players, others are veterans. Knowing that there has been 2 updates for Thanksgiving, leads to hype that there will be a Thanksgiving this year. Knowing the likelihood that there will be an event, then it's asking what content will be new. What will return? Given that the game doesn't get constantly new quests like the other game, there is typically more down time in Tapped Out - so knowing when content is coming is part of the fun and enjoyment of the game.
I have no idea when it's coming, but I started saving my money yesterday. The holiday stuff usually doesn't cost much, but still. I just hope I'm not tempted to but anything with donuts, because I've been saving those for the Christmas update. I only have 180 so far!
Even though I'm Canadian, I've always thought Thanksgiving makes more sense in November...

Fully agree, but we can still get some good deal for Black Friday.

Sort of, yes. It means if you should have certain characters available, a supply of donuts (optional) and land (see next answer below).

Possibly, possibly not. The OP is looking for relevant information so if there was another topic, someone would have guided people there.
It used to be always out there, until EA wised on to spAnser. So it may still be out there, the OP and a lot of us don't know if it is or is not.
