So immediately after I downloaded the Thanksgiving update, I bought Grandma Bouvier along with the building for 140 donuts (Had 150 donuts before buying). While I was collecting money from houses and building the Connection/Server Error appeared. After the error I got back in my town and had to collect the money all over again.
But then I noticed I still had 150 donuts INCLUDING Piggly's Super Smorg which was all in my town.
So I got that Premium building + character basically for free
Is this a common thing that happens or is it pure luck?

I've been exploiting the two-device glitches as much as possible, but have never gotten donuts out of it. I've gotten a lot of duplicate decorations...which can be good and bad. I have several stone cutter items which languish in inventory
