Black message right after Lisa and Homer finish King Toots

  I just got the guitar message now and it wasn't it. The one I missed was before and without any picture, just text

  You may be referring to the message that said to watch the new episode on Fox on Sunday night to see how the King Toot's / Moe's issues are resolved.

  The simplest possibility is that it was the "Goal complete!" popup.
