Not something I would use all the time, but I would definitely like the option to do this!
I am sure this will come one day in an update as we get to more and more characters.
I'm a daily player of tapped out and like to set things up on the way to work but sometimes don't have the time to send each person individually on a task.
It would be good to have an option to send everyone on a task at once e.g. send everyone to do a 24 hour task.
Thanks
I've always wanted this too - group to do 24 hours task or 8 hours task instead of pressing one at a time
Yes I do think that would be useful...I usually schedule my characters this way as I'm sure most people do. And if the character doesn't happen to have that time increment on their task list you can then assign them separately.
Not actually seeing a downside to having the option.
Yes! I would love a button to put everyone on the same hourly tasks, and a collect all button for tasks and/or buildings. And if you like tapping everything then don't use the tap all button.
In before, "it's called 'Tapped Out' for a reason" posts.
Technically it's still tapping ( just not as often)
Agreed. We tap much less, for instance, when we use the"arrow"buttons to go to the next neighbor when doing visits. We tap less when we use the character finder.
Haven't heard complaints about those.
My assumption is that the people determined to follow the "it's called tapped out for a reason" philosophy remain stalwart. They certainly must hate and certainly never use the arrows and the character finder. I would be horrified to find they buckled under the temptation to tap less. I'm surprised they aren't petitioning to have those game-destroying mechanisms removed.

Some people would love this (me), but apparently it would absolutely destroy the game for others.
If they implemented something like this, I can't imagine it would ever be mandatory. Players who prefer to do things like we do now would still be able to do so.

Oh yes, I am aware of that and I agree 100%. But according to other things I've read on this forum, there should never be anything like this added, the point of the game is mindless tapping at all times, and anyone who disagrees is lazy.
Why don't they just charge donuts 1 or 2 donuts to collect/assign all. I wouldn't do it 99% of the time but there are times when it would be nice to have the option if I'm busy and don't have much time. You could pretty much pay for it with the friend visits for the day. I'm sure EA would support anything that costs donuts.

A similar option would be to reduce the payout to say 1/4 of the individual assigned dollars. If you really don't have the time you still make some extra money, but the penalty is stiff enough that you wouldn't do it all the time.

Another way to consider it, however, is this. For every moment we spend tapping to collect from characters and buildings, EA is making zilch. It is to the company's benefit to keep us spending our time on design. If we ain't decorating, we ain't buying donuts. The only tapping EA cares about is when we tap on "Buy more."
This next part is not directed at you ... Just to help me avoid making another post, okay?
About the people who will come in, push the button, and leave. What exactly is EA losing by letting these folks get done faster? Is the theory that without a fast-collect, they're going to stay in their town after collecting? Imagine a current player who only has five minutes before work to drop in to clear their town. They come in, tap as fast as they can, take five minutes to do so, and skedaddle. If they had the button, they would have four-minutes-and-fifty-nine-seconds to spare. To wander a bit and maybe do a spot of decorating. Maybe (gasp) BUY something. Sure, they might choose to leave without buying anything. But the way things are, they don't have a CHOICE to buy anything.
So what does EA have to gain by having its players tapping instead of buying?

True, and they must also hate that tapping a building with multiple characters who completed their task clears all of them at once...they must also hate using the task book to select specific characters instead of roaming through the town searching for them back before the locator was added...
Nope, why let some of these time saving things be put to use when it "ruins the game" or "isn't in the spirit of the game".
probably one of the most wanted features but I don't see it being implemented any time soon.
The reason, I think, is simple from EA's perspective, the more time you spend in game, the more likely you are to spend real money. i can't see them doing anything that would decrease the amount of time players spend playing

It's been requested before, more times than I can count. That's not to say it's not worth continuing to ask for it.

Then dont use the nuke button too, and "tab" it all to storage
