Money is tight and you can easily catch some for free :)

Go really nice in a bouillabaisse

And I suppose being a chicken your sort get eaten quite a lot, and no one causes a fuss about that do they? What about the poor chickens? No one cares about you - only the cats, which as you say are a cheap way to combat the recession these days!

Doesn't the task end with the cat NOT getting eaten? Or did i read it wrong?

Sure, cats are great. In some parts of the world people eat cats. It's disturbing to us because of our culture, but to many it's a reality. And most of all, it's just a joke. The Simpsons have been pushing buttons for decades.

At this time of the year haggis are harder to catch, the hills are covered in snow. You can lure the cats into your warm home with promises of milk and a scratch behind the ear

Is eating cats illegle anywhere? I know it would be culturally sensitive in a lot of places, but as far as I am aware only animals on the endangered species list are illegal to be consumed. (and of course animals who have religious or cultural significance)

The state I live in it's completely illegal. Others in Australia it is legal, however it is illegal to kill them for the purpose of eating them (Or otherwise)

I'm fairly certain that it's illegal/frowned upon in the US.

Right, clever thinking! And then you kill them with a bagpipe?

No silly she injects it with heroin, it acts as a marinade at the same time! :D

I agree with the second statement. It's their game and they can do what they want, I suppose. The Simpsons always make fun of things and it's something you have to be aware of. :-)

I don't know every country his regulations and laws against eating of certain species but i do now some European countries and American states where consumation of domestic animals is forbidden and seen as animal abuse.
