UGH FINAL PRIZE CHARACTER GLITCH

    I haven't received him either. I had issues with other tunnels. I only have got 21 elves. Yet all the prizes and completed the 2000 present quest. I'm very frustrated. Does anyone know the best way to contact EA ? Thank You!!!

    I only have 20 elves but completed all the tasks too! :? I also haven't received him.

    I got Zultroy but I only have 25 elves (not 27) and I seem to be missing my cat.

    If anyone has seen him (or the missing elves), please let me know :-)

    I think zultroy may be the culprit...

    So how do they know a town is missing the zutroy character without a ticket if they keep closing cases? I'll wait the24 hrs the raise holy heck.

    Finally got the pay out but the quest isn't triggering for hiding out. :x

    I was also glitched out of Zutroy and several elves.

    I contacted EA this morning (and was forced to use Live Chat as it was my only contact option). After waiting a not unreasonable 20ish minutes I was connected to someone who was unable to solve my problem, unable to answer my questions, and unable to give me anything beyond his assurance that my problem would be forwarded to a specialist. When I asked for a contact email he told me EA Customer Support was incapable of receiving email (yeah, seriously). But I did get a case number and the satisfaction of knowing that if it hasn't been resolved in 24 hours then I can restart the process at my leisure. All of this took about 2 hours.

    This is not my first major glitch and not the first time I've had to contact EA Customer Support. And each time it's a painful experience. EA, your customer support is terrible, no wonder the entire internet hates you.

    Just because you dislike EA's customer service, dont presume that the entire internet hates it - nor can you speak for the entire internet. I for one have nothing but great customer service from EA.

    Sure I've had to contact them from time to time but I've never gotten anything less than great service from them :-)

    20 mins is nothing I once waited 2 hours

    Do we have to have every task done to get him? I ask because I'm playing two towns and I got him fine on my main game that's level 48 but on my B game I got the cabin but I haven't finished two of the earlier tasks since that town is only level 18 or so. So is he an end of all tasks bonus or part of completing the 19th task?


    Though personally I wish I hadn't gotten him. A beloved kitty in our family had to be put down yesterday and meh... Too soon. Like dot get me wrong, my alien guy from the Halloween drive in spends all day everyday eating from the dumpster because the dumpster cat part just cracks me up so I don't object to the jokes, just too soon...

    Yes, that was exactly the question I posed to the live chat agent, and kept being told "Don't worry, we are working on it." I know my company raises holy heck if someone closes a support case before it is actually resolved...not sure whether EA support is just making sure their open case metric stays below their entitlement or what.

    (Yes, I'm a nerd, all I talk about most days at work are metrics and entitlement...) :lol:

    You don't want Zutroy anyways. He is very offensive and should be removed from the game.

    Lol. There was the lie with the Feds when Santa said the elf was just his cat and then the elf meowed... It all makes sense now! ;)

    add me to the list of Zutroy-less players; on the plus side this is the first time something like this has affected me...

    hope they come up with an official fix for this soon...

    I did that always from the first tunnel, (forgot 1 time so 1 elf less... :roll: ) but i got Zutroy :wink:

    Same here. I contacted ea through live char and they told me to wait 24 hrs.
    If the tool didn't autocorrect itself i had to contact them again

    EVERY SINGLE QUEST, HOLIDAY QUEST, I GET SCREWED!!!!!

    This is so wrong, and I am sick and tired of it. I have spent over $200 on donuts for this game, and EA needs to FIX THIS!!!!!!!! Last year I was screwed over repeatedly by that STUPID, RIGGED WHEEL, and this year NO ZUTROY even though completed the tunnel 19 task the day it was opened.

    I don't need anyone on any of these forum threads commenting on how much time or money I, or anyone else spends. It is my time, and MY money, however, it is relative to the fact I have spent MONEY and EXPECT the game to function correctly. If you had a game that was not working properly, or any other item, either the game would be replaced, or you would get a full refund or both. ENOUGH WITH THE GLITCHES.

    GIVE ME MY ZUTROY, AND FIX YOUR GAME!!!!!!

    I've only skimmed the thread, but it sounds like the Zutroy glitch is the same one as the tunnel not opening glitch.

    If you're not yet affected by this, this means that you should be able to successfully avoid it by tapping your tunnels to see if they open BEFORE tapping any toymaker thumbs -- if the tunnels don't open, either force-quit or go to KL/neighbours and back and they should be open again. Only after making sure that your tunnels work, should you then tap the thumbs, and you should get Zutroy safely at that point.

    If you've already completed all the tunnels and missed getting him, then probably only EA can help you now. Send them a (polite!) message letting them know that you're one of the people affected by this -- or just wait; given the number of people it's likely they'll fix it with a patch rather than individually.

    In general, the game seems to be more stable if you ensure you force-quit it if you're going to be away from it for a while. Some devices (particularly older phones) do this automatically when you quit the game normally; other devices (particularly newer tablets) don't ever do it unless you specifically request it. If your device has an app switcher menu, it's probably in the latter category.

    Just remember that if you do contact EA about this or any other bug, you need to be polite. It's not the fault of the CS guy answering your requests, and nobody did it intentionally -- it's just some interaction between what was programmed to happen and what your device actually did in processing going wrong. Yes, ideally any issues should get weeded out in internal testing before release, but there's always going to be a few things that slip through.
