Add me to the list. Game crashes immediately after tapping the screen to log in. Using an iPhone 5S. Also tried using an iPhone 4 and it still crashes. I've been having server issues since Sunday, but the iPhone 4 helped me get into the game. Not this time though.
Has anyone contacted EA about this yet?
I just had EA call me. They said a lot of people are experiencing the issue and it won't be fixed until after Christmas (48 hours).
I would hope they would extend the date for everyone that misses out on these two days.
Figures. The EA Support site said they were still offering support through the holidays. Looks like we'll miss out on the Gil deal as well.
Same problem here, using iPad 2. Last night was working, except I could not get past jingle bell wreck part 14, even though it was completed. Now both my and my husband's accounts won't even log in. Very frustrating.
Well I put in a ticket with EA and should be getting a call in about 1/2 hr. I am kicked back to home screen on both games.
I had just purchased Gil deal so don't know if it went through or not.
I don't think it's a server issue if our games are literally crashing. A server issue is when it can't load and pops to that annoying Bart screen and tells you to try again. A server issue wouldn't make a game all out crash, so its something else and unfortunately that likely means we do have to wait for an EA fix...
Count me as another person experiencing this issue on an iPad! Get to the splash screen with my ID, then a couple of turns of the donut and crash back to my desktop.
We know phase 1 ended but do we know phase 2 definitely started? I can get into my game and it's normal except no Christmas event going on yet. There is a donut sale taking place from Gil for the next 2 days.

I haven't bought donuts since last year's Christmas. I was holding off on ever buying them again, but when I found out I was getting a $100 iTunes giftcard, I figured I give some of that to EA during the Gil sale. At least TinyCo will be happy about this.
Oh well, maybe it's a sign I thought it was just me. Merry Xmas to those that celebrate and for those that don't Have A Great Day I guess it will work eventually when EA resolves this. Maybe I'll just stand in line...while I bake some cookies... It would be nice if it will be fixed later, but the (lucky) in my name is not known to be so lucky. Everyone at EA are probably doing their Xmas or w.e. I'm trying to be optimistic about it even though it's just making me somewhat disappointed. So have a toast for me all and have a glorious time with your family and friends.

What devices is everyone using? I see some have mentioned but I think it may be device related because my main game is doing this on my iPad (which is also two versions of iOs behind so its not iOS version dependent) but my cheap Kyocera Android powered phone opened my secondary game just fine. Don't really care for phone play but I guess at least I have the option to log out of my other game and log in my main game there... Bummer though because I was prepared to buy some more donuts- with iTunes cards I had saved and that's obviously not going to be doable.... And no way I can maintain both games on one device, total pain in the neck.
How the heck did this happen though? There was no App Store update so does updating the darn game crash us out when just hours ago the darn game worked fine???

I'm not getting crashed back to my home screen, I'm just getting the "Cannot Connect to Server" screen repeatedly. Was able to connect just fine a few hours ago. I'm not worried about Gil offers or anything, but if this supposed two-day wait makes me not able to get all the prizes by the end of Part 2, I'm going to be really irritated. This is ridiculous. I know it's Christmas, but good lord. Every. Single. Update. I'm at the point where I'd just as well not have any events and not have to deal with this nonsense anymore.
Edit: Lmao. It gets better. Game finally DID connect to server, started to load... Crashed to home screen.
It crashed for me as I was negotiating the Gill offer I am wondering if the Gill offer is a cause as others around can access their accounts bit they haven't clicked to buy donuts

Same..i use nexus 7 Android thanks EA after normal update don't have problems..like it always was before Xmas.
