I was on hold then talking to 2 different EA CS reps and was being put through to a third when I got an email message saying they had technical difficulties and my call was interrupted and would I reopen my case! I am doing that now but I'm not happy.
I am on iPhone 6+ and iPad mini. I had 1,100 elf berries in one game and 795 in the other.
I will let the Forum know what happens if I get through
What devices is everyone using? I see some have mentioned but I think it may be device related because my main game is doing this on my iPad (which is also two versions of iOs behind so its not iOS version dependent) but my cheap Kyocera Android powered phone opened my secondary game just fine. Don't really care for phone play but I guess at least I have the option to log out of my other game and log in my main game there... Bummer though because I was prepared to buy some more donuts- with iTunes cards I had saved and that's obviously not going to be doable.... And no way I can maintain both games on one device, total pain in the neck.
How the heck did this happen though? There was no App Store update so does updating the darn game crash us out when just hours ago the darn game worked fine???
I have this game on my iPad Air and my Samsung Galaxy S4 and the game crashes on both. It was fine 12 hours ago, but as soon as phase 2 kicked in it stopped working.
Now it's not even kicking me to my home screen, it's just frozen on the Simpsons title screen with the donut not moving. I'm half expecting my phone to suddenly go up in flames if I keep trying, it only seems to get worse and worse as I go.
Edit: Had to physically turn my phone off and on again to get out of the frozen title screen.
I asked for a call from EA support and my call was dropped too. I don't know if I want to try another support session. If others try, let us know what they say. I'm in Florida with an iPad Air2 and an iPhone 4s.
Well the adviser on Twitter couldn't help me and told me to go to customer services. My options were a phone call.. I don't think they would phone me from Across the pond some how. or an email with a wait of upto 48 hours. So there is your answer. Sorry guys I tried
I followed your lead and went to Twitter, then customer services. Currently I'm waiting for my phone call back. I'll let you know what happens from there. Thanks for the tip.

Was working earlier today. Now I have the dreaded the log on crashes. Just got off the phone with tech support who says it is some sort of save file problem on their end. The tech support rep I was talking with to couldn't fix it and I needed to contact a different support section but they were closing down for Xmas and it would have to wait until the 26th.
I managed to set Homer and Lisa off on the 8hr/1hr tasks, but have been locked out since then. As many others have said just brings me back to my home screen.
Logged on ok at first. Sent Homer and Lisa on the 1hr and 8hr tasks and it crashed seconds after. Ever since that it crashes everytime i try to load it.
I like that they're trying to change up the events in the middle to keep things fresh.
But it is really not smart to schedule a part 2-launch for Christmas Eve when you know there will be no one around to fix bugs for the next 2 days. I mean, that is really dumb. Pick the 26th if you have to.
My brother was able to get into his game, so I borrowed his 'phone, logged out of his game, and into mine. Same result, crashed at the log in screen. Went back to his game, and can still get in. So I think it's something to do with individual towns that's crashing it.
I got my second call back and third chat with CS. All they could tell me was that it was a very big problem for players world wide and was going to take 48 hours to fix. I asked how they intended to recompense those of us who will be unable to collect elf berries or advance the game and was told they would roll the game back. That made no sense to me (have been playing for 3 Christmas's) and never seen that done. My sister is playing on the "exact" same hardware and also purchased the Gil deal so those things don't seem to be factors. They have not closed my ticket this time.

Experiencing all the afore mentioned problems.
I think 2 days without TSTO will be a record. Just hoping it won't be 5...
Thanks Brevis! Nice of you to do that for all of us
EDIT: It's too bad they couldn't help, but your effort is appreciated, as always!
