Have you ever bought donuts?

Hi welcome to the forum. :D

With regard to buying donuts that is a choice only you can make. It is real money you will be spending after all.

Just be sensible and set yourself a budget. :-)

I've bought them twice. I bought the $50 package, since I couldn't justify buying the $100 one, even though it's the best deal. I like to use them for character + building combos and for cheaper multipliers (like the Snowball II snowman, which is the best multiplier I've seen. 20 donuts for a 2.00% increase).

I don't make snap decisions. I'll agonize over what to buy for months until I finally get it. Unless it's limited, but then I still wait days or weeks until I decide. I think if you just buy in the spur of the moment, that's how you end up wasting donuts and regretting it.

Oh, and using them to speed things up is just silly. The task will complete eventually, for free, so why would you spend money on it? It's not like the game is going anywhere.

nope nope and nope, if i got "only" 100$ (100$ is a *' lot not "only") i would eather save up to upgrade my PHISICAL TANGABLE device, or blow it all on bud, hey that's at-least tangible for a few days. i MIGHT consider buying the 1.99$ 12 doughnuts if EA ever put in a deal that they will send me a REAL tangable EDIABLE doughnut, they look so tasty and havent had a good doughnut for years, all suckish ones around here.

The last donuts I bought were at Dunkin' Donuts, but I've but quite a few Golden Scratch-Rs. :)

But yes, set a budget. You don't want to be like Homer and his elf game. :D

I buy 300 donuts maybe twice in every three months. I only tend to buy buildings or, rarely, a character on his/her/its own if the character is significant in the Simpsons show. I only buy decorations with a multiplier. This equates to around 40p per day which is cheap entertainment. You can't buy a bag of crisps or a small chocolate bar for that much nowadays.

As a new non smoker after 30 years (haven't touched one in over 8 or 9 months now), I now have that money to apply to this game, which has helped me breathe much better.

So, the moral is, buy as many donuts as you can, and your lungs will thank you for it!

I got $50 in iTunes gift cards and bought donuts with them that way! I ended up with some decorations to boost my multiplier, and also got Sideshow Mel and Jasper :) Worth it to buy new content, but not sure about spending them to speed up quests.

Yup, I consider the buildings and characters expansions to the game. But as far as video games go I only play this and FGTQFS (which I find over priced so I am not premium in that game). I have literally got 100s of hours of entertainment out of this game. Therefore, I don't mind buying donuts. I just bought a 50$ pack over the holidays when they were on sale. But normally I would just buy 2 scratchers a week and save up that way (unless there was a limited time item I really wanted in that case I have bought donuts to top off).

Yes I've bought donuts in the past, I also bought some recently and will more than likely buy some more in the future, oh and while everyone seems to be on the subject I also quit smoking about 3 years ago after some 30+ years of doing it and unlike the 5 dollars a pack were you are here in the UK the cheapest brand ones are in excess of 8 pound a pack, so if you bought say 100 cigs that would be at a guess over 100 doller's.

I've calculated and figured out that I spend 1% of our gross income on the game. And I spend 90% of my free time on the game. That's a whole lot of "happy" for a teensy bit of money. :)

I've never smoked, so does that mean I've got 27 years worth of cigarette money to spend on donuts? Awesome! :P
