This event is terrible. How do federal agents have anything to do with Christmas?

Why do I need more crappy decorations for Christmas?

Why do Lisa, Bart, and Homer all have overlapping quest tasks for Christmas?

Why did all my event quests disappear the moment it was after Christmas?

Why did we go from tapped on gifts to now tapped random crap after Christmas?

I hate this event and am going to not buy any Gil donuts or login the game anymore this terrible event is over.

They need to have a way for people to easily opt out of this stupid crap and let us have our SF back the way we want it.

I'll admit, I'm still disgruntled about EA's choice to release the Destroyed Holiday Wheel the way they did. It let the sails out of my ship and I dropped down to giving weak effort. After completing every event successfully since I started (with exception of Easter and last Christmas) in Phase 1 I came up short, but I don't care. Now, phase 2 looks great and actually offers opportunity to play with strategy. Kinda excited to earn my tropical island.

Worst ever... If you started two weeks ago and it's the only one you've known, maybe. Flaws... sure. Am I ready to go... you betchya!!!

Now, EA, get your toupee out of your keester and make the DHW obtainable and not just a pet for your players who hate the wheel but didn't have it completely kick ' em in the knees last year.

I disagree. Easter was by far the worst, with Valentines Day a close second place.

They need to go back to the old format from last year with prizes and community prizes. I wish they would stop this phase 1, phase 2 crap as well.

In every event there will be things that some enjoy that others don't. Fact of the matter is if you don't enjoy the event, don't play it. I didn't participate in the Easter event because of all the bad reviews; so I didn't waste my time and donuts.

Regarding this years Christmas event - I didn't enjoy the Feds storyline, it just didn't make sense to me; but this is game I play on my iPhone/iPad. It's not really about the storyline, but the challenge of completing each mission. However; some people enjoy the storyline more than the missions. Again - its all about personal preference.

So far I'm enjoying phase 2 (my wife isn't enjoying it by association - apparently I should be mowing the lawn  ).

Agreed. In my opinion community prizes encouraged all players to aim for something. I really enjoyed it.

Well to update this thread, I have logged in several times and am still playing the game because I do enjoy TSTO. I am not really enjoying the event and I feel like the dialog for the first time I am skipping even though normally I am a dialog addict. I really wish they would let you change the skin of the town from default to event but I suppose it would kill the social aspect of the game. Maybe just make events better?

liked the event, although i did agree with some of the Feds arguments. i mean, whats that got to do with christmas .

Things i found bad about it was the game "cost" to finish tasks.
What i mean is often single character, long tasks to propel the "story" parts of the story like 12 hours or so, but that wasnt as bad as having very few elf spawns and bell tasks to collect to advance the game and win the prizes etc.
And ive been off work over this event due to a car incident so ive had plenty of time to play lol
just got to the end of the tasks and the 1st island yesterday morning and with a few days left on the event i wonder (with all the outages on the servers) if it was at all possible to complete properly had i not been off work :/
oh well stil had a bit of fun with it =D
...now back to my town redesign hahaha

It is not a good event, that is true.

But not everything about it is bad. The prizes are good.

Christmas is my third favourite event of the year after easter and halloween

Community prizes, I always felt were silly. Why give prizes to someone who did nothing but join, while other people worked hard for weeks?
I say no community prizes. Earn it on your own, or buy it.

Way toooo much tapping. If you won´t miss a prize, you almost have to play every day for at least one hour since the beginn of october when you include the halloween event. I like this game but at the moment it takes to much time (I have a reallife, but like to have all prizes, serious conflict ;o)) and I´m glad when we have break from events for some weeks.

The community prizes never had anything to do with an effort from whomever. May you remember last christmas when the amount was corrected every second day by EA that it was possible to reach the goal.

The format of the winter event i like, 1 part was tab feds, 2nd part change in collecting bells.
Only the prizes where not good in my humble opinion, no guys with tasks only 1 skin and deco i dont need.
Premium where the best prizes, still Stonecutters was for me the best event.
