I like that most of the events have a year to it. However, Easter stands for its own and doesnt need any further explanation, everyone knows what was meant and when it happened.
In every event I can afford buying fair amounts of donuts to get every premium items but in this event donut requirement of golden cannon was ridiculous so I couldn't get it. As I have an obsession to get all, that is a real problem for me.
I'd only just started playing when Easter 2014 came around so I had no problems with it. I assumed that items described as "prizes" were prizes in the usual sense of the word, ie items that were won through skill or chance. Therefore, I was not particularly bothered that I didn't get all of them. I have, over my lifetime, entered many contests that I have not won and I have learnt to deal with this.
Now I understand that prizes in TSTO are supposed to be much more like the prizes at a kindergarten awards day - you get them just for turning up, and if anyone misses out, there'll be tears and tantrums.

Well, this was unnecessary. If this is how you feel, friend, I suggest you move on to another forum.
Easter was just bad math, riddled with glitches, and not even that much fun even if it had worked. It could have been fixable, which makes it even WORSE in my eyes. If at some point they increased egg drop rates, fixed the dang baskets, it wouldn't have been so frustrating. I've played games that I've lost but had a great time doing so. This event was not one of them.
Many people here seem to be intermixing BAD DESIGN with PERSONAL PREFERENCE.
**** may not have been your preferred THEME for an event, but the game mechanics worked fairly well, with multiple layers of leveling up.
The Event Which Shall Not Be Mentioned had TERRIBLE game mechanics, too heavily based on CHANCE.
when the ODDS of obtaining itesm are so high that you cannot get it either with serious effort AND spending donuts, then it's BAD DESIGN.
this isn't about favorites. It's about facts. Chance games belong in casinos, where you have advance understanding before even walking in, that you will be giving your time and money away and receiving nothing. Not even a free drink from EA.
All my designs look unfinished because i can't place as many plants, streetlights, and fences as i would like. PLEASE REMOVE THE LIMIT, EA!

NOT AT ALL.
since you started with that event, you obviously weren't coming into it with the same expectations as veterans, so your opinion is moot.
The history of previous events clearly illustrates that major events in THIS GAME were based on EFFORT and TIME SPENT. Or you could spend donuts.
At Christmas that year, they introduced a wheel of chance, which significantly increased anxiety over the game, but DID award most players all of the awards. But they took it too far with the next event and relied too heavily on CHANCE as the award mechanism. The odds were so high that even spending money did not guarantee a prize. This was a huge change from historical game mechanics.
So it's not about "just showing up for kindergarten". It's more like showing up for class, taking the test that you studied for, maybe even hired a tutor for, and the teacher just used a random number generator to determine your grade.
SEE THE DIFFERENCE?

While I've liked all events my least favorite has to be easter, its also the only event where I've missed out on one prize even after playing it a lot. The only item I'm missing is Shary Bobbins
I'm not suprised to see **** second on the poll, and I've actually liked this years Christmas.
All my neighbors with all the prizes spent many donuts. (I tapped my fingers off and missed four of the major prizes.)
Yes. A lot of donuts were lost to obtain the "prizes." I got all of the "prizes" only because of donuts. They should not use the word "prize" if it cannot be obtained unless you use donuts. That's a "premium item" in my opinion.
This. Exactly this. Premium items are great, but they should be labeled as such. I think many people feel deceived when a premium item is labeled a
If it were simply paying x amount of donuts for Shari Bobbins or the Blocko store I wouldn't have had as much a problem with that event. It was spending massive amounts of donuts only for an increased number of chances to win those prizes that made it so terrible. I can't even remember how many truckloads of pink and blue eggs I bought before getting all the prizes.

And I've said this before, but it wasn't even good game of chance. A well-designed game of chance makes players feel like they can "crack" the game, like they can win big by having a "lucky number," or like they're just one lever-pull away from that jackpot. Too many players felt ground to dust by repeated booby prizes.
Having only been playing since the midpoint of ****. So it's really my only experience with a bad event unless you count the connection issues with 2014 x-mas. 2014 Halloween was kind of bust for me but that's because I was an idiot and only playing anonymously at that time.
Though being a newbie the event that shall not be named that's being tossed around fills me with intrigue.
Interesting. So far, the percentages are very close to what they were four months ago.
Four months ago was that before, during, or after ****?
I am not shocked by the high percentage for that horrid event, I am really shocked that it's not higher than it is...I guess a lot more newer players are going for **** than that event due to newness...

The result says it all. :-)

You mean ride the coattails of a popular game. Tapped Out jumped the shark with the **** event.
I'm not suprised to see **** second on the poll, and I've actually liked this years Christmas.
You shoud of left the Easter update out you very well know it's going to be most hate (just sayin)

Intrigue? Not dread?

Maybe just a tiny bit if dread.
