And that's what I don't understand. People are getting refunded for this.
It's not like it is an item I bought and then regret buying, it's an item I bought because I was duped in to believing it was only available for a set period of time.
I honestly have never had this kind of trouble with ea's service either, which is slightly bewildering to me. The last rep I talked to said that he did not know of any other players who were upset over this..
That's why I would like to email them, to give them photo proof of the refunds, photo proof of the "limited" labeling and have a paper trail of their inane responses..

After my last phone call..... 45min late after not recieving one requested for another ticket all day(still haven't gotten it) I was very angry.
The first advisor I talked to rudely interrupted me and said UH huh about 100 times within 2 minutes. I've done a ton of customer service work- this makes people feel like your not listening and do not care about the situation, so I asked to be transfered to the manager. After a lengthy conversation about customer service- the ticket was for this, started about two weeks ago, and the service has gotten worse since then- I explained many of the rough points of service I have had over the last several days, I have had call backs promised and not done, been put on hold for hours after being told 2-3 minutes, many many other things...... She offered to check this "island issue" I had a ticket for........ After going round for over an hour she assured me the specialist team, despite being given proof people were being refunded for this, insisted people are NOT. And my request was being denied. She could not explain why some people had easily gotten this refund, people arent supposed to be refunded for this. No answer to my why some people but not me. I argued more- she said she wanted to make me happier in some way, offered to send me a pc game- I don't own a computer currently, and is nowhere near a solution that would satisfy. So our conversation ended. I was not happy.
This morning- can't sleep, get up, check the email- very nice, long response letter from a gentleman at ea- who got my BBB complaint!
Yep, that was the trick. He was apologetic, did not understand why this had happened, looking into it, please contact me back with some details on your treatment and conversations, and most importantly- Let Me Restore Your Donuts! And yes, he did comp me a few extra.
I will definitely be sending him a follow-up email, detailing some of this ordeal.
But for the moment, donuts restored, couple extra- satisfied.......................... Finally!

Even though it took a considerable amount of teeth pulling.I will be heavily weighing whether or not to purchase said "limited time" things in the future.... Several months to a year I expect "limited" things to come back if that's the way they choose- McRibs come back for a month every year, but they're "limited"- this was just sly and tricky.
