Besides the connectivity issues, in the short term i just want the audio problems fixed and a character with a task to go to sequel stop.

And therein lies the problem. Things that seem like an easy fix can often be the hardest of all, usually because fixing that bug can lead to something else (usually bigger) now not working properly, at which point the developer has to take the pragmatic approach of leaving the small, slightly irritating bug in place, in favour of fixing that one and introducing a bigger, potentially game-breaking bug ... until they are able to fix it so that neither of those things happen.

The more pertinent problem, though, is that few of the bugs that we see are universal. Fixing a bug properly often requires that the developer is able to reproduce the issue themselves, because, if they can't, testing solutions to the problem becomes almost impossible.

There are also huge parts of the chain involved with making TSTO work for players that EA has no control over. Connection issues, for example, involve a whole series of mechanisms connecting machines and networks together across the internet. If one of those fails (a DNS server goes offline somewhere, for example) then some (but not all) players will not be able to connect to EA's servers. That isn't EA's fault, and they are helpless until the server involved is back up and running.

The fact that I appear to have far fewer connection issues than a lot of players is not an indication that EA has a better setup for UK players, it is probably luck that I am part of a chain of connection that has been suffering fewer issues than others. I do think having my internet connection supplied by a small local ISP helps in that respect.

This is not to blindly defend EA, I think they should at the very least have a public page that is easily available confirming the current status of their game specific servers, and their silence on things that are clearly their fault is sometimes deafening, but I think we need to realise that no one in the world can run an internet dependent game without some issues, because as soon as you depend on the internet, you build in the possibility of major problems over which you have zero control.

Where there have been universal bugs in the past (such as the massive lag introduced with the post-Easter (?) update) EA generally front up and solve the problem pretty quickly. Bug that only affect a proportion of players are not so easy to track down or resolve.

As far as in-game issues go, I agree with what has been said so far.

All buildings that have animations should have at least one character with a task there, so that the hard work put into the animation isn't a total waste of time. I think the Bad Dream House looks great as it is, but it has probably the best animation in the game, and is never used ... having only bought it this past halloween, I have never seen mine animated!

I often play with sound off, so voices don't bother me so much ... I would like an update to the in-game music though. I am bored with what we have now. And where is the actual Simpsons' theme? I can only assume that is also an issue of the deal made with Danny Elfman when he wrote it for them.

I agree that sometimes small bugs can be the most difficult, but I have a hard time seeing how, for instance, the Sit-N-Rotate bug or Fit Milhouse bugs can't be fixed with minimal effort - all the other characters' task lists work right.

And definitely all buildings should have at least one character that can use them regularly. It would be nice if new buildings just regularly added tasks to existing characters.

Yup, don't disagree with those being probably being pretty simple to fix. One of the Bouvier sisters (can't remember which) also has the same issue as Fit Milhouse.

Edited to add: On second thoughts, the Bouvier issue is probably the Sit-n-Rotate bug you mentioned, isn't it?

I think some of the posts here would depress them.

Ya think? How many times can you be called con-artists...etc., and not take offense. I'm surprised EA has been so tolerant of all the negativity. I'm really getting tired of people and their "I Deserve It" attitude!

Sorry for hijacking this thread, but this irritates me.

    This totally makes sense!

In comparison to other Developers... EA has their ducks in a row. Sure there are some bugs, but the game is huge. EA offers updates constantly, accompanied with added content to TSTO unlike games like **** with are modeled simply as cash cows.

I would like to see more iconic characters/fascades added. (IE- Bartman, maggie, krustys father, ect.)

Hey, its a fun game thats life-ruining... how could it not be life ruining if it didnt have some points that grinded your gears!?

Besides having many premium characters being not voiced or just having half butted grunts and moans, the developers seem to have problems with audio clips, animations with items and buildings also. The ghost ship still has the audio missing for the second time, the tribal chief's line after being sent on a task has been replaced with hugs bunny's clip. I also have beef with how many buildings so far that have had only a one time use animation don't have characters that have tasks to go back to those buildings. I wouldn't care if these items were free but these things are all premium and have costed money.

And a lot of cool characters from the show have been wasted to just be non playable characters when they could have beeb so much more, and mr. Teeny needs a solo task. And EA, you just had sequel stop released as a prize and the animation was cool for that one task but now it's just sitting there looking lame, not even one character has a task to go there to start up the animation again.

That's all my complaining for today, people might call it petty but it's fine.

    Ok thanks!
All my designs look unfinished because i can't place as many plants, streetlights, and fences as i would like. PLEASE REMOVE THE LIMIT, EA!

    Couldn't agree more.

Having a building with an animation that cannot be routinely activated by an always available task is a giant desgin oversight.

I don't think I've ever turned the volume on so I don't care what anyone says or doesn't say.

It would be nice if all buildings did have a task to get the animation, but whatever. They do a few events a year that involve tapping buildings so I get to see the animations.

I really have no beef with the game. I'd like a certain few buildings, but again, if they shove out everything then there won't be anything left.

I don't play a lot of games on my phone.
    Injustice
    Simpsons
    Drop 7
    High Rise Heroes
    Words/Dice
    That new Marvel champions thing

And I want to be 100% honest, TSTO is by far the most satisfying. Marvel is a scam. Injustice is a long term deal. The others aren't really in the same genre. I know what I am getting with TSTO and I know that the events are doable and fun for the most part.

I see people complaining here a lot and I don't get it.

The same thing applies to the actual unfunny FG tv show. So this is unsurprising.

Although I totally get this (I spotted it too), we also have to keep in mind that English may not be the first language of some of the users on the forum. English is a totally weird language and the rules, linguistically speaking, can be a bit wonky! :D

And I appreciate that you can work hard at TSTO and actually get a lot of cool things. FG seemed to be a total cash grab, I had to abandon it almost immediately.

In game a voice for Cletus was taken away and a new one added.

I wish this was a regular feature for all characters.

And I do think with the $$ involved with the game they could approach other voice actors to provide audio for the game, or update those currently who do nothing but grunt with new recordings.
