Went to American Sniper yesterday and thought it was a great movie with terrific performances. Bradley Cooper did an outstanding job of portraying Kyle.
Just watched Gravity for the first time today. Decent film. I've always been obsessed with space and such, so it was right up my alley. I'm thinking it may have been great seeing the beautiful cinematography in an actual theater as opposed to watching it on my 32" Dynex...but some of those scenes would have been vomit-inducing as portrayed on the big screen.
Well Juliet, I don't want to give away too much but was not really funny. It is filmed in an "artsy" way - camera following the Broadway actors through the hallways. I preferred Alejandro's "21 Grams" but just me. Like I said acting was very good Keaton, Norton, Stone, Watts all terrific. Let me know what you think.
Will do! Although I will have to wait until it comes out to rent now, as the cinema times have gone really crappy now it's been out a few weeks
I just saw Birdman tonight. Thought it was good, but I'll probably have forgotten all about it by next year
Watched "Boyhood" tonight. A very slow moving film. Not sure why it's getting all the Oscar buzz.
SO! not worth the Oscar Buzz. The Process? Meh. Having the patience to shoot it over so many years, does not make it good. The movie does not at all reflect the title of the film. Boyhood, yeah we saw him and everyone else get older. Nothing else.
It was good, some parts better than others. Had the feeling of being based on a true story, but it was just fictional.
I will for sure not be getting on a plane anytime soon

Creepy and intense performance from Jake Gyllenhaal!
