EA Support chat regarding VALENTINES 2015, LEVEL 50, MUTANT RABBIT STOREABILITY, EASTER 2015, ETC.

Prev1
You realize you were chatting with some 3rd party guy in India right? The live chat is useless. The only way to get actual info is if you can crack the call back center in Texas.

The next time you're outside pick up a pebble or rock. Speak to it. That exchange will be about as fruitful as the chat above.

The support chat people know as little as we do. I am not sure if the developers check the forums but I like to think they do.

Well, that was a whole lot of nothing.

I hate when they say to check the forums for updates, as if they're actually posted by EA. No, they're posted by forum members when we notice something, that's all.

It looks like maybe he did send something on to the developers about fixing the Mutant Rabbit storage glitch, since glitches are something the live chat people actually take care of.

Like any help centre, they likely have scripts then have to stick to. I know they're real people because I have successfully gotten help from them before, but they can only help with technical problems, they're not part of the development or content team. I also highly doubt it's a requirement for them to play the game or know much about it.

Just read "one night at the call centre" by Chetan Bhagat
    The OP should read it.

The Agent gave no info whatsoever.

Was the point of this post to show that it is worthless to ask chat support these kind of questions? And to ask for free donuts for no reason?

Ok, why would you call the help line to ask pointless questions like this? All you're doing is making people with real technical issues wait longer. This makes me angry.

Even though the chat support is unreliable most of the time I thought I would share there responses to some of the most burning questions of the community. You never know whether or not they can know certain info. And as for the donuts, in the past people have been given donuts (including me) from chatting with EA support members. It can never hurt to ask. I wasn't being pushy this time either. The Origin 15% discount code was very generous of them.

First of all, these were not pointless questions as they have been highly popular among the community these days. I was doing everyone a favor as people tend to chat on EA support for other reasonings like the possibility of Tapped Out 2 as stated in an older thread. Although the info provided by these EA chat support members are deemed unreliable most of the time, you never know what info they may actually know as they seem to have close contact with a specialist team and recieve updates from the developers. And the wait time was said to be like 20-25 minutes so it doesn't look like I was keeping anyone waiting. And also, these EA support members chat with multiple people at once as my friend(doesn't really play anymore) and I both contacted EA support chat at the same time and we were online with the same EA support chat member.

That almost makes it worse. While they're placating you about stuff they don't even know the real answers to, they're distracted away from a person who they could potentially really help.

It was worth a shot though.

    Seconded.

Especially when the help line is for people to request help for technical issues. E.g. Missing items, locked out, donuts not appearing etc.
