What would you like to see if TSTO 2 became a reality?
inb4 "MORE LAND"
mhm what to change? roads with more options. vehicles on top of the road. people riding vehicles. there're so many possibilities. ways to share donuts and money between both games too!

Exactly, there's little logic in releasing a new app and alienating all the players who spent a lot of money on this game (like myself).
While I realize eventually this game will end, ending it only to replace it with a new version is just in poor taste, and a kick to the **** of the premium players. Most especially since a new version isn't necessary. It would be very unlikely to have any major gameplay differences or approaches.
I don't see it happening. Maybe years down the road after this game runs out of steam of its own accord.
Smart thinking about the "more land" posts
Agree with you about the roads. maybe able to turn some of them into driveways, gravel, and dirt without the sidewalks.
Some decorative bridges, different style houses and trees, the ability to zoom in closer...and of course AN AREA SELECT TOOL!
There have been a few games that did this in the past. Some did it because of huge security flaws that made it easy to hack the apps and get free premium currency. Some were simply done to upgrade the game itself.
Point is the app as it is now probably resembles Frankenstein as far as code goes. It's not rare to see games or programs get completely revised and upgraded to make things better.
Again this doesn't mean everyone would have to start from scratch. It only means the backbone of the game would be recoded....
If it's the same game, then why would it be called TSTO 2?
Think of it this way. Imagine you wrote a 15 page paper when you first started high school on a subject you were very passionate about. Then 8 years later, when you graduated from college you found that paper and realized it can be sooo much better. You'll have 2 choices. You can either go back and start editing that paper and waste a ton of time, or just rewrite straight from your head. Which one do you think will be better? The one that looks like 2 different people wrote it or one that's all polished up and concise?
Programs work the same way. You can patch a program a million times, but after a while once you learn what the main issues are you can work out a better foundation, and structure for the program. At that point it makes more sense to reprogram the entire app and rerelease then to release a giant patch that'll be essentially working off of a bad foundation.
This also makes more sense from a marketing point of view, since they market it as a better, newer version of the game so many have come to love. Hell something like that can even bring back players who quit over the last few years. That's a win win situation.
Most importantly games run on different graphics engines. They can't just patch something like that in since in most cases that has to be programmed into the core of the game. So features like 3D mode may not even be possible on a graphics engine they're using now. This alone can warrant a complete overhaul of the app.
PS: a better more efficient graphics engine can do a lot to improve performance of the game, especially on older devices. Newer devices would benefit greatly too because the software would be able to better utilize the faster hardware.
Also here's an idea. Now that you know what this topic is about, since clearly the title wasn't obvious enough, you can just simply NOT open it. Sound good?
Night and Day
Weather
More land
More!
I'm going to say this once op and max
There's no need to be a tapped out 2 they can all do this using the current game it was misleading info from a rep in India
Enough of tsto 2 talk until it's a fact
Why don't I believe this?
Umm, Option 3:
Realize I'm not in school anymore and I don't have to keep doing school assignments.
