Just put him on his 24 hour task - that doesn't send him to the choppa.

Or use his Stonecutter skin. That also doesn't use the choppa.

I play all day, i put everyone on 1 hour tasks. Don't feel like slowly paying attention to who i am putting on what task when i have 90+ characters every 60 min.

Arnie was fine how he was. And who buys characters to not see their animation? People ususlly buy arnie to have him flying around. And buying skins for premium is a waste if i ever seen one.

Well, for what it's worth his 24 hour task is still a visual one. It's just not annoying like his other flying around tasks.

This is more tempting than the 24 hour task. I won't ever have kids so this is my chance to ground someone for being annoying... good thing i wont be a Dad; Or EA could have just not changed anything with an old premium

I'm assuming you keep Stampy on his 24 hour task? So this would be the same thing. Maybe try putting Arnie on his 24 hour task at the same time as Stampy, then it's less for you to remember. As annoying as it may be, it doesn't make sense to gripe about it when then are two simple solutions.

His soundbites annoy me 1000x more than the helicopter. I actually bought him because of the helicopter.

I guess we all have / had our reasons for buying arnie. Just so happens my reason has become the first annoying thing to bug me since I started.

Not "griping", I'm using the forum for its purpose, conversation about the game.

when i log in 12 times for 60 min task than finish it with 8 hour before bed, that's a lot of cash loss by putting him on a 24 hour tadk. I wasn't around for money glitches or outside cash help that is illegal so cash is a bit important when you're level 49 and never reached 1 mil in the 7 months of playing. I buy premium characters because they make a good dent in a day with 1 hour tasks.

All i was doing was trying to start a conversation about this change, not get **** out for because of an opinionated matter.

Arnie Pye hasn't been out of his stonecutter robes since I finished his questline. I hate the helicopter.

Honestly, though, I can understand the OP's frustration with the change. If I DID like the helicopter animation, but it kept throwing me across town every time I tapped on it by accident, I would be upset too. Kinda like the mutant rabbit - at least you can store Arnie or put him in a different skin.

I suppose I was frustrated tapping criminals to be sent back to channel 4, note to self, wait an hour after waking up before posting on the forums lol.

Best case scenario, 4 hour tasks walking the dog. May not make as much money daily but it IS only 1 character. I had such high hopes for the news chopper xD

I like the newshound animation. If I didn't know I'd sometimes accidentally send him to the copter, I would probably have him doing that sometimes.

I bought him for the helicopter - now I say words when I accidentally hit his 12 hour task while putting everyone on 12 hours. And it's usually in my evening (EST), so all the neighbors in Europe have to deal with him. Sorry about that! I did store him for a while, but then can't use the 48 hour broadcasting show.

I definitely understand this frustration, when something changes with no explanation and you're not sure if it was an accident or an intentional change (ex resizing of Madame Chao's, Helter Shelter)

I too keep Arnie in a stonecutter's skin on a 24 hour job, because I found myself accidentally tapping the helicopter all the time. Now if every time I accidentally tapped him I was sent across town, that would drive me insane!

I hope they change it back, maybe you should open a thread on the Bugs & Issues forum, I think a lot of players like me wouldn't have noticed the change since I don't use those jobs.

What I really wish is that Arnie's helicopter would fly around your actual town, instead of just across the screen. That way you could enjoy his animation when you wanted, without him getting in the way

The only broadcast show I do since having Arnie.

I love screen capturing arnie flying around looking like he's reporting whatever is below him. P.Rex terrorizing town while Queen lisa skin listens to her my-pod and Arnie pointing at them flying around, it's the little things in life that maks you smile!

@airjordan, that would all be wonderful! I suppose I could make a mention in bug forum if this wasn't an intentional fix. Should waitinwait until after event me thinks, never know what fixes they'll refix, i.e. apparently the krustyland tickets cant be bought with SF cash was taken out on accident. I was only a couple missions away from that! :!:

I regretted buying Arnie because the helicopter is so annoying. But then I got the Stonecutters skin and now he just stays in the lodge, drinking.

For what it's worth, I'm on your side. It has been driving me crazy today. I try to avoid tapping him when he is on screen but I inevitably do. The way he was before the update was fine.

What a strange thing to change. Not really sure how it enhances gameplay.

Worth a lot more than imaginable :P.

If it is just a weird error from the event that's one thing, if they added it in I am guessing none of the developers play the game to see how inconvenient it's become lol.

Alas, 4 hours tasks it shall be, along with Hugo and Barbarian homer so its not that bad, but when my other 87 characters are on 1 hour task there's bound to be many times I'll put arnie on chopper task, which i like to have but hate to tap :P
