If you want to raise your consumerism rating go for The Times. But it is ridiculously small and the apartments look better so I'd go for them.

I'm not giving up, it's just I have not been able to play/visit neighbors like I usually do. So I am not collecting enough. I know it's possible, but I don't think it will happen, so I was just wondering what others think about those items.

I am just collecting items. On the last day, I will build whatever I can with the number of items that I have collected.

I did get the Times, so for me, the rest is gravy :-)

I got the Times Building in my main town (and plenty of time and materials for at least 2 each of the other buildings before the deadline). The Times Building is, in my opinion, "forgettable". Overrated. The scale is off, and the design is kind of "meh".

BUT I have three other active, developed towns (Don't ask.) In those, I'm skipping the Times Building altogether. So I'm concentrating on the Apartments and the Lofts. I love the architecture, colors, etc. of those.

In those towns I'm just dallying along at my own pace, have one of each of those buildings already, almost to my second of each building in each town, and since the lofts don't use any of the same crafting materials as the, it's easy to keep both progressing at the same time. I'm not bothering with the storefront. Don't care for it.

But that's just me.

I'd agree that the Times is pretty blah. And it costs so much in crafting ingredients that you'd probably be better served settling for the apartments and lofts. It depends on what you like better.

I wanted the Times building for my downtown area so I went for that first thing. The size is a little off when compared to Hero HQ and some of the other towers I've seen in other Springfields.

The apartments have a really nice size to them. The lofts look nice but are kind of small.

I would do the Times last. I like the design, but it is awkwardly small.

there are so few non-premium items that help your consumerism score I say do the Times building.

After that I like the Apartments and the Stores (in that order) far more than the lofts.

Times building vs. loft AND apartments? That's a tough one. They scale is crazy on the Times building but then it is on lots of stuff. Below is a pic of mine next the latest car

EA might fix the scale but then I think the loft and apartments are great buildings too. If scale bothers you then I'd say go for the loft and apartments.
