There should be a little something for Easter, and they implied Herb Powell would be available soon. I don't know if that means he'll come with Level 51 or if he'll be available for donuts, but if you only have 1.3 million then I'd wait either way. Maybe just buy one plot of land if you really need the room?

Event buildings don't cost much in-game cash at all since EA wouldn't want to shut out new players from participating, but a Level 51 building will almost certainly cost over $1 million. I'd hold off on the land until you have at least $2 million banked, unless you don't mind waiting to buy the Level 51 building once it's released.

I would save as well. I kept on saving up until I had enough to buy entire strips of land at a time, I just couldn't handle those jig jags of land in my town. My OCD is enough to keep my town square, but not enough to get me to clean up the messy parts (yet, anyway. It's currently a battle between wanting to design and having the time to do so).

Anyhow, saving for full strips kept a nice cushion in case something expensive came up, especially limited time items. Sometimes that would push back buying the land, but I eventually made it, and finally got all the water as well. Now I'm just debating on an aspirational as I have almost 19 mil saved up.

Remember when you buy land it moves your landing zone. I haven't bought the new land strips to avoid this. Just mentioning so you can plan ahead as you build.
All my designs look unfinished because i can't place as many plants, streetlights, and fences as i would like. PLEASE REMOVE THE LIMIT, EA!

I bought a single strip all along the coast to force my landing zone to its final location. Although I haven't gotten to fancying it up yet.
