It's definitely an interesting idea. It's essentially the equivalent of giving a tip to waiter for good service, though in this game it can potentially be tens of thousands of dollars. Not a bad tip for a game.

I'm a regular donut buyer, so EA gets plenty of money from me. But OP I think your idea is a good one - and doesn't involve any one person spending a lot.

Never did like the idea of someone else telling me how to spend my money. Even if it's only 99¢

and if we all do it, I'm sure they'll notice.

I did this for the first time in the Clash of Clans event simply because that's when I thought about it. But I certainly would have done it a few time before.

So I, like most players, am freemium. I don't buy donuts. But lets get real, that cash keeps the game going.

It's simple. If I like an event, I will buy a scratch off ticket at Krusty's for .99. I bought one for **** and this past event. If a huge portion of us freemiums do the same? Well EA would have to listen to that cash influx and quite frankly we should reward a job well done.

Yeah I remember when the little old ladies I delivered a newspaper to, would tip me a nickel. It really told me how much they appreciated my services.
All my designs look unfinished because i can't place as many plants, streetlights, and fences as i would like. PLEASE REMOVE THE LIMIT, EA!
