I didn't yet play last year, but I've seen a lot of posts complaining on the difficulty then.
Perhaps this is EA's way of saying sorry.

I bought a whole bunch of them, because they look so cheerful.

I have more fences than I know what to do with. My incredulity comes from the notion that someone considers these fences "rare" at all.

For a lot of people, they were very hard to come by. There was the blue basket group and the pink basket group, with certain kinds of eggs appearing more or less frequently than others (again, I have mentally blocked this event, someone help me here...). But I had trouble getting enough pastel fences for decorating, so I wound up buying eggs/baskets for donuts in order to up my chances of getting more pastel fences. And this happened to a large number of people, apparently (lack of getting this fence, among other items). Again, this is why last year's Easter event was not well-liked. And I noted that as well, really cheap pastel fence that I spent donuts on last year. Not complaining, in fact, just relieved that to finish up my fence from last year, I didn't have to spend more donuts. So actually very grateful!

While winning those fences I really disliked them and didn't think they would fit anywhere in my town.. However I found they work nicely as a porch/fenced off area around Johnny Fiestas.. Not too long ago while I was figuring out how I wanted to redesign my town I thought how useful those pastel fences would be around a daycare center.. So glad they are for sale now, I bought a whole bunch. Some just to sit in inventory as a reserve.

During the Easter event I was only able to win around 12 of them and based on the other stuff I unfortunately mass collected during that event, I would say for me, they were slightly rare.

Good call. I had forgotten that for 1/2 of the player base, these weren't easy to get due to their default egg color.

Wether your luck got you a bunch of not- I got 5 btw..... They were in the gold box, making them rare and harder to have gotten. It can't be argued just because you got a bunch...... That's the box they were in - period.

I'm stocking up on those and the trees and moving them to Krustyland. Quite time consuming, which is good. The trees look particularly ghastly alongside the Saint Pat's green beer fountains.

I only got a few, and am happy to buy them so cheap because they are finally another fence/wall to be used in KL. I'll buy a bunch.

But the ease or difficulty of obtaining them is a direct result of the ridiculous odds in play during that event which shall not be named.

There's no point in arguing. People need to stop responding to a single opinion as if it's some all encompassing statement of fact that everyone must be assimilated. They WERE difficult to obtain - for ME and others as unfortunate as me. Not everyone though, they probably had another item with unfavorable odds though.

Ugh. What bad memories of those eggs. I don't like thinking about it.

I was one of the people who didn't get a lot of these fences last year and the few I did get, I placed around the Johnny Fiestas (funny, just like the poster above

). I had, at the time, hoped to get a few more to complete the perimeter but I wasn't able to, so I was happy to see them reappear. I now have them completely surrounding Johnny Fiestas, looking festive (tacky? ;-) ) and I'm happy.

That being said, I don't think I'd have use for them anywhere else in my town, but I might buy some extras and store them because ya never know what might surface throughout the year in future events.

I was about three of those fences short of a 15 donut prize now they're not worth nothing.

I abondoned some easter stuff in my duff brewery and it is still there. Might buy some brick wall fence and gate but won't be dragging any easter stuff out of storage.
