Tap out burn out

This game is life-ruiningly fun!

But seriously, when I am finished doing everything from the last update, I just log in once a day & collect and send characters on tasks.

Once a new update is brought in, then I'll play religiously again lol

Once you have everything, for me that's when the real fun begins. I always just check in on my SF to decorate and visit friends but my citizens are only doing 12 and 8 hr tasks.

^ Same here. I fixed my crashing by deleting a ton of stuff. But now I play in fear! I feel like even adding 1 tree will start to crash my game again so I basically cant do anything but go look at my town. =[

I'm a bit burned out by it. But Temple Run 2 is out, so that'll take up some of my time now.

It would be more challenging is they really priced the buildings high. I have about a million and a half to spend and I can't add houses due to crashing problems. So working for a 3 million dollar building would at least be a goal.

My recent truckload of work for uni took my attention away initially and then the crashing just finished it off for me, perhaps once in done with my work ill be enthusiastic again, but i dunno!

The constant crashes on my game have made me go from logging in upto and over 10 times a day to only once or twice! It's really annoying....

Tap too many buildings to collect = crash
Tap too many characters to set tasks = crash
Move around too quickly = crash
Try to build new road = crash

    Hence..... Me = Burnt out!

I think they've started doing that, at least with the newest buildings being $250k even if they have no characters or tasks.

My preference would be lots of different kinds of buildings, like unique houses or shops that are expensive but only for decoration. That way those of us who are maxed out could still buy different types of buildings to make our town look unique.

Or perhaps instead they could add decelopment "areas" (like amusement park was previously suggested), where you buy a fenced in area that occupies a lot of land, then buy upgrades to increase the payout (i.e. amusement park rides). This would also work with a mall (stores), zoo (animal exhibits), university (specialized colleges), and many others.

I lost interest when I reached the max level. Unless there's new content, I don't really care about moving buildings around and all that.

I am frustrated by the crashing and tired of the snow. I am not near ready to throw in the towel at all, especially with how much I am loving me some Smithers, but I am hoping for a big update next time around to re-energize my interest.

The snow is definitely burning me out. While i spend plenty of time in the game assigning tasks, i don't feel like I'm really "playing" any more, as I find it too difficult to do any decorating. My Burns manor is sitting unadorned and I just tried moving some of my shops around but I don't like how anything looks and can't remember which tree is which or anything. I am just barely keeping interest in the game with each update. Christmas was super fun, but since the Smithers update (which was too short, in my opinion) I've mostly been here in the forum. I miss the fun factor when it was a challenge to save up for buildings and you had to decide whether you wanted to save money for the building or save for land to put it on. It needs to be more challenging at the higher levels.

    A broken record...

I'm just logging in a few times a day to set characters on new tasks. It's a nice lull after the amount of time spent playing during XMAS. I've been wondering how the game will progress into the future. It seems like most of the "staple" characters and buildings should be released over the next few updates. After that, it would seem like most of the buildings will be hit or miss for non-hardcore fans. Are they going to have a major themed update every 2 months to keep interests raised? Those events are hugely popular for the activity of the game, and who knows what else they have planned.

Personally, I want it all. The ideas for the "development areas" are great. I think another great idea would be "template buildings." You buy a blank building, then buy "skins" of less recurring buildings that you can constantly adjust. This would allow for more customization, as you could get a few skins that you really liked, or go crazy and buy a template building for every skin. I've wondered how the Mall would be incorporated into the game, and maybe that is a way to do it. I'm sure more mini-games are trying to be developed, and it would be fun to have some of those. Maybe a Noiseland Arcade where you can actually go in and PLAY the video games from the Simpsons episodes. There are so many ways to incorporate great Simpsons content, it would be a shame if this game didn't capitalize on that.

Eventually, just about everybody will be caught up with the building progression, so the only way to KEEP people playing will be a lot of content. I don't think they can string everyone along for 3-5 years with smaller updates; I'd be trying to release as much content as possible ASAP, and try to capitalize on the game's popularity while it's hot. It'd be great if they fixed stability, but if EA can't get Madden's online abilities to function well, I don't expect TSTO's gameplay to be any better. Those are my scattered ramblings.

I am a bit burnt out by it now (the first time since playing this game when it returned during last summer), I have everything and all I really need to do is save up cash to buy more land for future buildings, however the amount of characters that I have to find and corner (when cash is in the way or when they get to close to another "thumbs up" character) just to give tasks is whats making me burnt out the most, its just too many characters to control now, they seriously have got to add an option to make it more easier to control the population, like a "Make All Do 24 Hour Task"
