Crafting - Is there any hope?

My advice to you is
Get the squirter to level 15.
With 25 per squish the rewards will come much quicker

i've just posted a similar thread and have come to the conclusion that in my own case it might be possible to craft the "main" items but there is little hope of crafting any of the incidental items such as cactus patch, opera seats, flower wall, cane field.....just so odd having items available but virtually unachievable, especially as the decorative items are those that a Tapper would likely want a few of at the end of the event.

So far i've crafted the farmers market since the start of the event, to me that in itself is plain wrong!

All i can suggest is making sure you are setting the characters on their lowest time frame, so you can earn the most out of them although this will mean checking in every 1h/2hrs but will inturn help towards gaining more of the items needed, visiting friends daily will also help a little.

If you are doing this already then tbh not sure what else to tell you :P

DEFINITELY get the squirted leveled up- best pay out of all comes from it.

For this event I think you have to decide which items you want most. I know I'd like to have all of them, but don't think I can make it based on how I play and what my own personal schedule is. What I've done is to write out how many of each item I'll need to craft and upgrade. Right now it looks impossible, especially the Masks, but hopefully as I upgrade it will get easier.

    Good luck to you

I'm thinking this too. I don't think this event was designed for everyone to have everything, and honestly with the event currency needed to get enough of some things so that it would even be usable, I don't want it all (The cost of the flower walls alone is riding for what they are and I agree with some other posts that it should have been made available with in game cash.)

So, I'm going for the big ticket items and then will see what I can get with what's left. Hopefully, as you say tbolin, the drops of materials will increase a lot with upgrades. I think I will be OK with what I end up with; in the meantime, grind grind grind!

Every act I focused on leveling up and getting personal prizes. Monsarno is at 20 and Squiter is at 15. Opera is at 4 now, and I plan to move it up to 7. leveling further will depend on where I am. I have crafted the farmers market and the gas and grab, but nothing more, because they are buildings that pay out. I am on a save mode now and I plan to craft at the end of the event. My goal is the boat, another pay-out item that I can place it in the ocean without paying donuts.

I have accepted the fact that as a freemium player with life outside TSTO, I won't be able to get everything. At first, I thought I could because i have completed past events with time to spare (I never left wifi spots, phone in my hand). After doing some mental estimations, I was angry at EA for causing my fraustration. But now I am at peace, back to tapping at my personal goal pace. I share this because I think everyone goes though this denial-anger-acceptance cycle every freaking event!!!!!! Argh....okay...I am calm now....

I'm about to be able to craft the Farmers Market. I've been concentrating on Fertilizer tasks to get there.

Once that's done, I will switch to the next one that requires DNA. Though I'm concentrating on DNA already, it's slower than Fertilizer.

I won't upgrade the Opera Stage until I'm done with DNA for crafting.

Corn, I have enough! Too much! We need a converter.

Do you not want any of the crafting items that cost masks? (Youngsters have a 6 hour mask job that could replace the 8hour corn job most of them were stuck on) (It's cool if you don't want the newer items, but it's a way to convert some of the people who could only earn corn into something else

I was actually just doing the math last night... Here's what's needed for 1 of everything I don't have:

    Fertilizer: 28,500
    Corn: 8,500
    DNA: 11,500
    Theater: 21,100

I went ahead and crafted the Sani-John Smokehouse so now I'll have to recompute, but unless I start getting a lot more Theater Masks and DNA I'm not gonna be able to craft everything. Anybody need some extra corn? I have about twice what's needed...

My sprayer is lvl 19, does it ever increase rewards again?
My mono is lvl 25, it's been saying increase from jobs past 4 levels but I haven't seen an increase...
Should I stop upgrading & just save for crafting now?

This event is a donut gobbler
After a month I have crafted two items, the Farmers Market and the Gas and Grub.
If I can craft the Simpsons houseboat after two weeks, I'll say I've got as much as I'm going to get. :?
And notice how the event shop is all donut spend, no $$$ items.

Another question is, what level are you and how many characters do you have?

If you are a lower level player with not many playable characters, it is going to be an uphill battle.

If you have every character, there is like 130 of them, you can around 90 or so producing craft currency for you.

I just got enough DNA to craft the Gas and Go or whatever it's called. I can't really upgrade anything because I need the materials, and DNA is a rare drop. DNA should have been much more common in the second act and theater masks should be more common than they are in the third act. I want the decoy homer, but I need to start all over on the DNA again, but have to upgrade as well to get new tasks and the free buildings

I'd like to message EA about the crafting currency. I try to play frequently, and just managed to build Springfield farmers market the other day. But I feel like I won't get to craft all. It seems outrageous, and I'm starting to get pretty disillusioned.

How frequently? I play several times a day and managed to craft the market back in phase 1.
Getting all 4 daily tasks of cecils really helped out a lot towards that.

Yes. You should....except for upgrading the opera house.
By this time if youve played on a regular basis, you should have tons of fertilizer and corn and just need the dna and theater masks.
