Buildings regenerating the payout icon is definitely part of the problem. I usually tap out my buildings and characters first, then start assigning tasks. Today I tapped out my characters, assigned the first task set, then tapped my buildings. By the time I got to my third round of assigning tasks the delay between tapping and and reassigning had allowed my Blue Houses to start regenerating. I couldn't assign any tasks until they had all regenerated the $.
But that's not the extent of the issue. It still does it even when none of my buildings are popping up $s, menus, cash registers, etc.
Thought it was my phone, galaxy III. No offense to anyone here but I am glad I am not the only one. I also am having a crashing issue when I try to visit friend's Springfields.
The task list closes for me a few times a day, it is very annoying. Also, I sometimes get booted from my game. Sometimes it happens when I try to visit friends, other times it just randomly happens when I'm in my town. It's very annoying.
I have been annoyed by this bug for the last few updates. The task list disappeared almost every time I played the game rendered the game almost unplayable.
Same issue here -- very frustrating. After emailing with Support numerous times, they seem to believe that the problem was solved with their latest update. It's not. Sometimes the task window doesn't even open for a character, and sometimes it closes so fast that I accidentally click on the wrong task and use donuts to quickly complete that task. If I didn't, I would be so far behind already with tasks I'm required to do. EA, the problem STILL exists.
This is happening a lot to me. Makes the game hard to play. Very frustrating. Please fix as I like this game a lot. Some donuts for inconvenience would be nice.
This bug has been driving me nuts. I've suspected it may be because of something hidden behind the task list being in motion, but I haven't taken the time to observe it enough to rule that out. Maybe somebody at EA could. heh.

I still can't believe this is an issue... we have had so many updates at this point that I'm starting to think this was intentional and just poorly thought out.

I confirm this exact response. Try assigning tasks with the zoom level at its closest. It's not perfect but it is significantly improved for me.

(*) This will revert the game to normal play mode, so DON'T UPDATE if you're still hunting for those last craft items or bonus donuts!
