Thanks for all the positive feedback, guys. Now if we could just get someone from EA on here we'll be all set :D

BTW, any chance of getting this thread stickied to try and increase its exposure? Not trying to toot my own horn or anything, but I really believe in this idea and want to do everything I can to see it become a reality, so it would really help to get it seen as much as possible.

Sorry, but this combines two things I really dislike - desert and motorcycles. When I was a cop I witnessed the aftermath of a number of really awful deaths of motorcycle riders. It convinced me they should be renamed "killcycles" and I think anything that glorifies them in any way is doing the world a disservice. (And I totally disagree that you just have to know how to ride them. As often as not it is that kind of over confident thinking that gets people dead.) And, well, I just hate dry, desert areas. No rational reason for not wanting the "Badlands" other than that. As for four additional strips of land, well, my Kindle chugs pretty hard at what we have now. I don't think it could handle four more strips of land right now.

Sorry about the rant above. I get passionate about some things. I do appreciate the hard work you put into this idea. It just doesn't appeal to me in any way and you did ask for explanations for no votes.

While I appreciate your response and explanation of why you wouldn't want this, I don't believe that an event such as this would "glorify" motorcycles. After all, the premise of this event is that local citizens of a small town are fending off a roving gang of bikers, so this would seem more like it decries them as opposed to glorifying them. As for your objection to the desert area being added, well, that is a rather petty reason to be perfectly honest, unless of course you suffer from xerophobia, in which case it's completely understandable.

I also don't believe that one's disliking or objection to a particular thing should dictate what is, after all, a game designed for the purposes of having fun. Much in the same way that arguments are so often made over the alleged influence that violent video games have on people, if an individual chooses to imitate that which they see and do in a game, then it is this individual who is at fault, not the game. If you are of sound, rational mind, then you will know the difference between fantasy and reality. If 1 out of 10 players decide to go out and ride a motorcycle because of this game, then it is simply that their mind is more susceptible to suggestion than the other 9, but the game cannot be blamed for that. Also, let us not forget that many motorcycle accidents/deaths are caused by drivers of cars and trucks who were not paying due attention to the road.

At the end of the day, I believe that Mr Spock's timeless and always relevant quote can sum things up: "The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few, or the one.”

The game needs a new map, rather than strips of land. It is the only way to get around the technical limitations on older devices.

Proud_Scot, why allow other peoples opinions if you are just going to say they don't matter? All anybody can offer on this is opinion, so mine is as valid as yours.

I'm not saying it doesn't matter. I greatly appreciate the fact that you did provide your opinion rather than just anonymously voting "No" without no explanation.

It wasn't intended to demean your opinion in any way, but rather to provide counterpoints to your opinion which is the essence of what it means to have a discussion or debate.

One thing, Stagnant Springs Spa (as Health Spa) has already been released in the game. It was a premium item and cost 150 donuts, so I doubt they'd make it a free prize. Although Shotkickers and Ruth Powers was a cash combo, so possibly. Springfield Gorge is a no as a prize as it was 250 donuts and came with dare-devil Bart. Murderhorn was 250 donuts so I could see it brought back as limited time.

    Sounds great!

However, it would be really considerate if people started **** these threads with a question mark, or the word "idea" or "suggestion" so that i don't bother to read them.

A title like this makes me think that something new is on the horizon, but when I open it i learn it's completely made-up imaginary fluff thats not going to happen at all.

I appreciate the creativity. I just wish you guys weren't constantly posting your ideas like you're making a game content announcement.

this was a topic from over a year ago, without the slightest clue of a real desert event. someone just bumoed it back into existence (like my hero did with the "act 2 is live" thread xD)

If you actually READ my post. I do say said items had already been released. Open your eyes next time.

Will EA put back intertwining with our friends, or are we by ourselves again? I found the last event boring, because, none of my friends were ever aware whether or not I had visited their town. They'd better give us another stretch of land expansion, since the Casino event took up every single plot of land there was, plus, I hope they add more room for all this new stuff! With the Casino event, to place 1 item, I had to remove 3 or 4 items. Almost drove me insane.
