should Neighbour Donuts be obtainable for those without all the Friend point prizes?

If you don't have 100 friends, you have no reason to complain. It's not like it's difficult to get friends, especially those posting on this forum.

EDIT: Doh! Nothing to see here. Scroll down

You only get FP for the first 30 friends or 90 actions if I recall correctly.

It does take a while to get to the end, but there are some awesome prizes along the way like Stampy.

    You can do it!

No way. Friendship prizes are putting in your dues for donuts. Only been playing seriously for a couple of months, Black Box today, so only 3 FP prizes left and I only have 50ish friends.

Visit friends daily and you will be earning donuts sooner than EA will change the game.

Yes I think they should get donuts even if you don't have all the FP prizes. I can't imagine starting the game now, it took me awhile to catch up when I started in Sept. 2012. So it must take a really long time now. With everything going on in the game that wasn't there from the beginning, a few extra donuts to newer players can only be a good thing.

starting the game now would be terrible with all the catching up you would need to do i honestly think a lot of people quit before they even get to the current level because they would have to grind like crazy and really there isn't that many donuts in it for them

not to mention the events that have been on and players have had to stop doing cash jobs to get crafting for the prizes like the last event

I strongly disagree. This is a game, and friend donuts are one of the perks of getting to a certain point in the game. If you don't have time to visit 100 friends everyday...make time?

You get FP for all 300 actions:

    Action 1-30 = 10 FP
    Action 31-60 = 5 FP
    Action 61-90 = 4 FP
    Action 91-120 = 2 FP
    Action 121-300 = 1 FP

I don't recall the FP Prizes taking long at all. When you first start out, visiting friends is one of the best ways to earn cash and XP, so you're obsessively visiting all your friends anyway. Even in my feeder town, I only have 30 friends and I don't remember it taking very long.

I only started playing in November 2014, I didn't have any friends at all until end January 2015 & only had 5 friends for about a month after that. I then started adding from the find friends threads. I've now got all my FP prizes & started getting bonus donuts end March/early April. I've got 5 stars & completed all levels & quests. I bought 1 boatload of Donuts around Christmas time but other than that I'm a freemium player. I visit my friends every day, missing the odd day to adjust my reset timer back to morning rather than 2am :) but as much as I would have liked extra donuts early on, I'm proud of my tapping achievements & the "well done, here's a donut" praise I now get from EA on my daily visits. So I've voted no. The FP prizes are easily attainable with a little tapping, just like the bonus donuts at the end of events. They are a bonus after all :)

I agree with Izabellatrix and Anna - you should have to work through getting all the friends prizes before getting donuts.
I started playing at the end of Thanksgiving 2014, am now max level, have 5 stars in SF and KL and have had all the friends prizes for a couple of months. I have been a forum 'lurker' since the Xmas 2014 event when I started adding quite a few friends, currently at 100 friends.
I think that donuts are the reward for getting so far.
.... And thanks Jim in anticipation of the welcome to the forum!

The FP prizes are already your reward and incentive to visit your friends regularly. And really, it's easy to get 100 friends, so as long as you visit regularly you should fly through the FP levels. The donuts are just an added incentive to keep visiting friends once there are no prizes left.

The friend point prizes are the incentive for you to visit your neighbours on a regular basis, once you have all those then the incentive is the chance to win bonus donuts.

Nope, its a fail deal. Work hard, get cool prizes, get donuts while waiting for new prizes........
My friend started barely over a year ago, she's up on prizes and one level behind, less than a hundred friends and skips playing at all some days..... It's not that bad to catch up, and you still have things to do instead of hurrying up and waiting.
PM me- I DO need Good Neighboreenos currently

FP is the one thing that everyone is on equal grounds over. It is incentives to visit neighbors, benefiting both you and your neighbor. Earning all the prizes should garner a special reward for all of your hard work and weeks to tapping. Choosing not to have the maximum number of neighbors is your own choice, why should you benefit with everyone else early when you choose you make it harder on yourself.

Regarding newbies, it is always hard for them in an established game, but eventually that is overcome. It's a long time coming but eventually you do make it to the top level and possibly even the bonus. It just takes time, which is what the game is all about: killing time.

I don't know. I had to work to earn a lot of crappy prizes I don't want (Marge Tetherball, Stewart Duck, Goofball, the Olmec Head), so I like that the donuts made it worth something. OTOH, it was kind of a bummer when I was back to earning FP instead when they added Level 50. It Blows! is nice, but I could do without the poorly scaled car.

I think they should have random donut rewards with the random tasks. I have had the same one sitting in the task bar for months, and - like everyone else - I find them too bothersome.

Why do people keep saying the Canyonero is poorly scaled? It's supposed to be giant.

how do people not have 100 friends? I posted one time that I needed friends and within 24 hours had a full 100 plus another 40-something requests.

I powered through all of the friend items. Really started to hit it during the Superhero event and finished up maybe a week ago. Now it's donut bonus time. Received +2 while tapping tonight.

    I say no.

I installed this a while ago, lost interest, then tapped on the icon one day when I was bored and... oh, this is actually a good game.

I really enjoy the challenge of trying to make up for the lost time. During the Terwilliger's event (when I started playing for real), I didn't have anywhere near enough characters to get most of the stuff people were talking about, but I got a couple 'souvenirs' and I'm good with that.

My quest lines are in no discernible order, but it simply adds to the enjoyment for me. I'm on level 25, quest-wise, somewhere in the 21 range, although I keep getting quests out of the blue that are not mentioned on any site for my level. This actually keeps it fun, because I am exactly the type of person who would look all this stuff up in the first place.

These 'neighbor donuts' I kept reading about, I did wonder why I was not getting any. It was actually only a couple of days ago when I figured out, it requires that Canyonero. And... that's a good thing. If it all came easy, I would probably drop the game.

I simply joined at a different time, with different challenges. I can't house farm for cheap, but I have access to several years of data that allows me to skip a lot of the 'trial and error'. That's one trade-off, I'm sure there are many others.

Sure, my goal of 'get to the end' is probably a long time away, but... I'm down for the ride. I don't want 'easy', I want something to work towards.
