Oh man, I knew we'd have a big event when I plan to go off camping in a couple of weeks! Serves me right for trying to have quality time with the family...
This must be the most confusing event ever. I thought crafting could get confusing but this one really jumps the shark.
It's not that confusing when you map it out. Think of it as another Clash of Clones event.
Foam Fingers/(other later currencies):
These get you the usual personal prizes (just like gold in Clash of Clones). Can get from fans wandering town, in friends' towns, prize for beating daily task in <24hrs.
Tickets:
These are the event's $ currency (think potion from Clash of Clones). You earn from character tasks, and use to buy decorations & upgrades to new sports costumes.
You get pretty much all the purchasable items from daily quests or personal prizes anyway, so you're really just buying multiples.
Tap Ball:
The "battle" from Clash of Clones. You play off against randoms or friends' towns. Takes 4hrs to "recharge" the players you've used. Gives out prize currency & tickets for playing (depending on win/loss/draw, and difficulty of opponent).
I have no idea how the tap ball works but I am 2-0 lol. They should give some freebies for Canadian players as World Cup is held in Canada this year
2 characters face off, happens 4 times. The character with the greater * rating gets a point. If they're equal, a coin is flipped and "heads you win, tails you lose". You can only use each character once.
You can switch your current character for the next one behind you, but you only get a limited amount of those (unsure how they're awarded, may be based on wins or games played).
Sometimes it's best to take a dive with a weak character (eg. 0.5* or 1*), if it'll clinch you the other 3 face-offs.
Ok Homer was on a task, so that had to finish. Now getting fans. I wish the timed tasks were not brought back though. Apu has something to finish before the task.

If you look though, the timer doesn't start until you start his task. It just sits there at 24 hours until you do. If I had realized that right away I might have started that at a different time.
Unrelated, does anyone know if I should wait on my neighbor visits until after I complete part 7? I'm working on part 6 now...
Is Ned doing lunges in his mind...because he certainly isn't moving on the 4 hour task. LOL
Just to let my neighbors be in acknowledgement: I may not complete this event, I have some Summer events of my own planned I will do my best, but that's all I can promise.

I would guess lots of donuts spent. I have found I get more bucks from losing to higher level people than from winning, so I am planning at least at the beginning to lose and get the extra bucks.
My percentage went up by about 4%. Anybody know what changed?
Apparently both the Duff Racer and Oscar's Obstacles Truck are returning as premium decorations for this event, so they now have a bonus percentage attached to them. Maybe you already own these items?
If so, congrats, you got yourself some free bonus points! ;-)
This event seem more complex than the previous one, must say when i'll get the hang of it and make my strategy i will be much less stressful, i really hope i could get most of the items. :shock: :shock: :shock:
I royally screwed up with the daily tasks. I accidentally sent Apu to the stadium instead of his 2 sponsor tasks yesterday, so now, I'm behind. It's going to be a pain to catch up, especially now that I'm going to be busy for the next three weeks.

Agreed. I thought Monsarno was bad. This is worse. And the skins are atrociously expensive.
