Same thing happened to me. Played in a friends town and when the game was over it crashed and I cannot log back in. Every time I log in at splash screen the game crashes and closes. Cannot get back in to play and I've tried several times on both my devices.

Reinstalled the game still crashes
Visited my town as a friend from a working account and it crashes.
You can visit the crashing towns Krustyland however.
I created a ticket with EA support.
