Literary/Movie/TV show references in your Springfields?
Am I the only one that doesn't know what OP means?
Edit: As in I can't see the reference! :?

Isn't that a runway?
I once did a Joyce call out with the Irish stuff: it was the first time I realized I suck at visual jokes. I tried forever to play up the Skinner-Norman Bates jokes from the show by arranging Sleep-E-Z and the Skinner house to approximate the Bates motel (Psycho started as a book, so a very indirect literary reference). Never got it to work, but I still have the Skinner house on a hill. There are other references in my town, but I'm simply not any good at it.
I can think of a few neighbors who have allusions to film and TV in their towns--not literary references but the same sort of thing. I hope they read this thread.
Yep, one end of my airport runway. Yes, it is supposed to be Slaughterhouse Five...probably should have mentioned that!
Edited to note that this is obviously a film reference and not literary but I felt it fit in "-) Any ideas on other ones we could try to make? Film, literary, pop culture...?
Now if we only knew the question.
Oh Ok!
I went ahead and changed the thread title into something a bit more broad! Love the Edward Scissorhands area and the 42, both great ideas!
