So is the capping part of a glitch or not? Its annoying.

No the capping isn't (and never was) a glitch but the day after tomorrow it will go from raising 4500 a day to raising 9000 a day, also once you get the final prize it is gone until act 2 so you can grind for all the extra tracks you want

Was hoping to get some advice as to whether I am still on track (excuse the pun) to get all the prizes by the end of Act 1.

I was playing the game yesterday (Sunday) and got everything I could, including 100 friend visits. When I went back in this morning it was as though I didnt do any of it (I've had this syncing issue before)

I have around 39.5k BPs - I am not sure how behind I am as the time zones of the resets confuse me to no end.

According to the calander I should have 40.6k at the end of 16/8 - I am in Australia and it is now 4:15pm on Monday 17/8 (Although probably just hitting midnight in the US)

So am I only 1k behind or a day behind? (some events used our local timezones for resets etc)

    Many thanks
6pm AEST is the "reset" time for us. At that point, you should be at the total for the end of the previous day. Eg. in just over an hour, you should have the total for the end-of-day 16/8/2015.

With the capping of blueprint tasks per day, I'm not really worried about it. It's MUCH harder to fall behind when everyone gets 75% of their blueprint income capped at the same ceiling level.

There's 72000 you can earn at the max from blueprint tasks (excluding the daily task bonus). That leaves 17,500 to get from all other methods (possums, visiting friends, the daily task bonus of 1200+, the 5000 bonus on 5th daily check-in, etc.). That's 1460/day to get the last prize by the end.
By that logic, you should have the max earnable from blueprint tasks (which was 27,000 until it clocks over in an hour), + 5x 1460 = 35,760.

For comparison though, I'm ahead of it at 47k.

    Thanks for that mate,

I am yet to get the 5k from the daily bonus, so hopefully this gives me a bit of a boost. I also got the 3 jobs for the daily tasks, but still think I will be cutting it very fine to get to the end. I read somewhere that the last 2 days of this Act, the cap will increase to 9k - if this is true, that I should be okay.

    Thanks again for the help

Reminder that by the end of this 24 hour period you want to have:
    48738 Blueprints

Also today you need to complete 4 projects to get the daily bonus of 2400 blueprints, so if you hit the cap yesterday make sure that you start today with 4 small projects

Thanks for that info - really good news that will make it a little more acheivable. :)

Earlier on in this event, if players connected tracks to the station, it would sometimes lead to crashes for both the player and their neighbours.

Does anyone know if this has been fixed yet? My monorail area is now just a mess of assorted track parts. I made a smiley face with them however.

Quick question, and I apologize if it's been asked/answered before. How does the daily cap interact with the daily bonus?

For example, to get the daily bonus today, we need to complete 4 projects. If you go for completing the projects that earn the most blueprints (2,000+), you could reach the cap before you complete the 4 projects. Is the cap still in effect when completing these 4 projects, which could potentially prevent you from earning your daily bonus? Or is the cap ignored until the 4 projects are completed?

    Thanks!

I have been playing it safe and going for smalls projects before I get the bonus so I may not be 100% correct when I say this:
The cap will always be in play regardless of if you received the bonus yet, the only exception for this is if you have all the prizes for the current act earned. Sorry I can't give a definite answer.

K thanks. I read the start of the topic then missed a large chunk of the middle part.

Don't know for definite but me gut instinct would be that the cap would be imposed as soon as you crossed the blueprint threshold, regardless of wether you had gained the daily build bonus or not. So building big blueprints will probably put you at danger of missing out on the daily bonus

Maybe it was a good thing you didn't have to go through it with us! I've read literally every post on this thread, and it was a real rollercoaster!! The glitch gave us hope that it wasn't just us, and that it really wasn't possible, then it wasn't a glitch, then I was again. It didn't help that EA told a lot of people it was a glitch they were aware of.

You DEFINITELY lose your daily bonus. (I learned that the hard way.) The instant you hit your "cap", you are stopped from earning any more blueprints for the day. So be sure to do "low" payout projects first, on days with higher number of projects required for the bonus.

    :)

Even if you could get 8,000+ today, it would just decrease the amount you could get tomorrow anyways.

I'd go safe too, when it's lots of exchanges needed and still the 4,500 cap, that's a lot of blueprints to potentially miss out on, it's simply not worth the risk. When the cap goes up to 9,000 a day for the last...... 4 days I think..... (Check the front page, it'll be on there) The risk will be less of an issue then, as it'll be harder to reach 9,000 blueprints before the required exchanges are dine. Not impossible mind you, so remain cautious, but harder.

    Arrrr, I been ninja'd so I 'ave!!!
.............. I dunno why I went all pirate then...................

    A couple things

FIRST: "International Talk Like a Pirate Day" is not for another month. (September 19, to be precise) You may practice between now and then, but let's not go overboard. (See what I did there?) ;)

SECOND: I have a funny feeling that on that final day (see chart in first post of this thread), when we need to complete 5 Projects for the 6,000 bonus, the "Projects" might ALL be very high payouts. So I'm going to be very careful the day before that, to NOT go over my 9,000 "cap" ... that is, to avoid "overflow" from the night before. And to try to save some low-payout ones from the day before as well.

    :)

I'm confused about the cap. Rollover? Is it just a cumulative addition of ~4,500 for each day - meaning, if today were the tenth day (so the maths are easy), the cap for the day be 45,000. No, that can't be, I'm at 58,000.

Is it 4,500 blueprints on top of what you start the day at? And do BPs from Lil' Lisa's plant, possums, etc count towards that 4,500, or is it just the project board that counts?

If it's just the project board, I could conceivably keep track of where I'm at, get close to, but under, the 4,500, THEN cash in a 2,000+ BP project for roughly 6,500 blueprints, right?

Sorry if this has been explained before. I'm going to try and re-re-re-read this thread.

    My head hurts.
