How are you guys decorating with your monorail?

I'm using it like real transportation and have a route in mind going past a few main areas in town. I hope they don't cover up other buildings too much. I'm so happy we can put track on the street. Now I just wish we'd quit gear so many stupid stadium pieces and get more track. I'm worried I won't get all I'll need.

Agreed. My station pieces have now joined together to form a station clump. (Almost typed stadium... :P)

I'm keeping my monorail strictly decorative. It's going to end up like a game of snake.

I'm placing mine to ride at the back of the city with a view on the gorge, springfield sign, six, corner etc... Around town. I won't need to shuffle anything. Just placing it on the roads.

I'm roughly placing the rails with a view to have it winding through town eventually.

I have some ideas in mind how to put my monorail, but I fear I won't be able to obtain enough tracks. So I'm waiting till the end of the event to see how many tracks I will get

I'm doing my best to keep the tracks on the road. Because of all of the new land, I've been able to plan a route that'll essentially encircle my SF (SFH, though? I keep reading about rumors of exploding mountains, so we'll see...). I just did a bit of re-shuffling to plan for a spot for the station that's coming with the 'Second Act'. In the meantime, I'm grinding away, hoping to connect the main Station with the KDT Station that's at the other end of my SF.

I'm running my rail pieces down the center divider of my two-way streets, and I plan on putting in some smaller substations with the extra pieces of station. Unfortunately, I can't do anything right now and I'm missing out on the extra rail pieces that I desperately need because my game is frozen.

Placed the station where I had the most room then I am placing the tracks essentially where I want them however it's not going to be pretty until the event is over when I actually move things around it to accommodate it properly. I have a hard time accepting the "Chicago Track" and placing it in the streets! :)

I think I may store mine or make mine strictly decorative because to put little station pieces everywhere would require me to shuffle my town around a lot...

    What have you guys done?

It's hard to really do a whole lot with it because I don't think we'll be given enough rail pieces to really make it a huge train system.
The rail pieces may be placed on roads so with some smart positioning of the rails nothing actually needs to be moved in our towns. This is all assuming your town has roads, of course.

My biggest annoyance is that the rails block the facade of some buildings I like so I'm not exactly sure how I want to lay them.

Based purely on inference, it's the style of track placement where monorail tracks are placed directly over roads (as opposed to monorail tracks placed mostly in empty areas with nothing else there).

I've not got enough track to do much with it yet. Just got it in a circular route. Will wait till I know what I have before fitting it into my town.

This is mine so far. I've had to keep moving things to keep expanding but I hate my town being a mess & I like redesigning anyway. I like that the rail sections can go over water too.
