I actually popped here tonight to post a message for my neighbours ap8logising for infrequent visits due to my town freezing all the time but it seems I am not alone. I have disabled the monorail which seems to have improved things slightly but not by much. I can work in my town but any attempt to visit a neighbour now freezes my game  I hope I have some neighbours left after EA fix this! Its sad that the very reason for this event is crashing it!,,,,

    Ditto neighbour :-o

Just under (by roughly 15 minutes) 24 hours unplayable. Waiting for EA to contact me. Happy tapping.

I can't believe they don't have this fixed yet. A week almost since this thread was started and no fix :(

I remember a few weeks ago getting a message when I logged onto the game saying I was getting donuts as an apology for problems with the game. There I was thinking hey that's great, I don't have any problems!! I didn't realize that they were giving them to me in advance for making the game totally unplayable over the last week! I guess it's nice to warn people ahead of time...

Also thanks for turning off the donut confirmation on the last update so you could claw back a couple of the free donuts EA - well played.

    PS
Feel free to add me as a neighbour - one day I might even be able to log on and visit your town, but probably not.

34.5 hours unplayable. EA returned my call last night. After determining I needed to speak with a specialist, they transferred me to a wrong number in India.

For the past 11 & a half hours I've logged in to a the same frozen screen. My game is officially unplayable.
I have the same issue. I contacted ea via email and received a lot of useless steps that solved nothing.

Seems like they are NOT able to do anything about this problem.

I have that freezing problem now. Had it since chapter 2 of the monorail began , and it is getting worse. I was able to play an hour this morning with only 2 or 3 freezes, but then it freezes after every move i do.

And while it froze only when i did anything related to the monorail, it now freezes as well whne i do a Springfiled Heights move

I wish I made it that far, mine freezes immediately after loading game.

OMHSBFG! Freezing while SCROLLING through friends now. Before any town has even loaded. There's like 10 people with big towns I just will have to avoid for the time being, or go back to them later after the main visiting tour is done.

EA rolled my game progress back to the August 24th (nothing lost, no progress since the 24th) I disconnected my monorail track and its working fine (with a slight lag from tap to tap response). I'm playable again!

I came for the same reason. This whole event has been unplayable for me and I know I've lost neighbours. I feel badly that I can't play but I get literally less than 10 minutes every time I try and play. I just don't have the patience for it anymore.

Fortunately, I bought myself a new 2DS and have been distracted by Animal Crossing.

With today's app store update I'm now able to clear stink from all the buildings that were causing the game to crash. I was beginning to get worried since earlier today I was at half of my buildings not being ableto be cleared.

Hey guys... First time on the forum. My game freezes as soon as I login. I did the whole delete and reinstall bit, but it didn't help. I contacted EA and my case was given to a specialist. After trying to get in my game, he mentioned that a new update is coming some time next week for the freezing issue. I'm afraid I won't be able to get the act 2 prizes for the monorail update though :-(

I actually didn't have problems with my game freezing until after the update. Well, that's not entirely true. It was freezing while loading, but not while playing. Today I had my first freezing issue while playing the game. That's after the update. But after I forced stop on the program and went back in, it worked ok.

Is your monorail connected to a track and moving around? If so, disconnect it and see if that helps. Immobilizing my monorail is the only thing that stopped my game from freezing.

At the beginng of the event, I disconnected the stations and rarely had a crash. Today, since the update, it's constant crashing. (I'm on iOS)

yes mine too. I had to keep force quitting until I could get back in then disconnect the train. I'm down to a 10 second lag now so playing is still difficult but at least I can get back in. I don't want to reinstall because I can't sign in to EA on any of my apple devices at the moment so don't want to risk an uninstall. Every patch at the moment seems to make my game worse.

I got a new glitch today! My characters are all collecting metal and plastic in SH instead of where the plants are. Even when the tasks are completed they stay there. Are they trapped beyond the mountains forever?

Still freezing but at least I can store SH buildings. This game should be called Worn Out.
