FWIW, I'm on iOS 9 beta. I took the plunge and updated an hour ago or so. All seems fine so far. The only thing is there's no IRS building, but I'm hoping it will come with the fixes.

Sorry for those who are suffering. :-(

What is the benefit to doing the upgrading?

Looks like they still haven't added the IRS building and drone, so upgrading pretty much only removes the monorail, and at the same time you risk losing stuff.
    I wouldn't upgrade, at least I won't for now

I updated on my Kindle Fire and my level and amounts stayed the same but 29 characters I already owned are back in the store. I tried the store/unstore of their building trick and I got the character back but half my town went blank and when I synchronized it fixed that but the character was back in the store again. I did reinstall but it is still acting the same.

thanks for the update about the kindle update still being incorrect/broken (I'm waiting for someone to give the all clear as I don't want to download a huge update until I know it's fixed)

hope that your town goes back to normal (but I'd echo the contact EA thing just to let them know that Kindle is still nonfunctional

I think an update is incoming! In the App Store it changed from update to open! I will assume the next time it says update it will be fixed!

That has nothing to do with Tapped Out. It has to do with iOS 9 becoming available three hours ago and Apple managing what can be updated.

I still haven't updated, but am allowed to still play. Since the update does nothing but take out the Monorail, I think I will wait. I'm just too nervous to loose my stuff.

I updated first, and remembered to ask questions later, when I was wondering why the update was extremly slow. I'm on iOS 8.3 still.

I think I lost my 5 donuts from the Railyard. However I did get the 15 holiday donuts for the second time, so I'm not complaining. Yet. I lost my level 57, but I got an extra 2 donuts for level up for the second time, so I'm still not complaining. It seems I get to do all the level 57 quests/task for the second time, but they're not all 30 second tasks, and I still have the money and buildings I got the first time, and there's really nothing else to do at the moment, so I'll survive. It won't affect my ability to do some redecoration between task.

All in all, it could be worse, and it could have happened on a worse time. I lost 5 donuts, but I got 17 for the second time. For me, that's still a win.

I play my second town on Android, and haven't noticed any real issues. However, my second town has not reached level 57 yet, and therefore has not lost level 57. It's nowhere near the 5 donuts from the tracks, so nothing lost there either. I did not upgrade that town immediately, so I might have updated after EA's first try to fix, because I did't get the 15 donuts for the second time. Bummer, really.
